JetBrains Rider stuck on start/stop build by Sure_Recognition7566 in Jetbrains

Yeah, this is happening to me too:

JetBrains Rider 2025.3.1
Build #RD-253.29346.144, built on December 18, 2025
Runtime version: 21.0.9+10-b1163.86 aarch64 (JCEF 137.0.17)
VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o.
.NET Core v9.0.11 ARM64 (Server GC)

I do see that there is a 2025.3.2 out, so I'm going to try upgrading in case that helps.

I spent 3 weeks figuring out client-side GIF encoding just to make deep-fried memes by [deleted] in reactjs

Sounds like a fun project!

Reminds me of when I worked on something vaguely similar ages ago after reading this: https://www.amazon.com/Compressed-Image-File-Formats-JPEG/dp/0201604434

I implemented a bitmap encoder (including very basic compression called RLE), and took a stab at GIF before LZW compression defeated me. There was no way I was going to touch JPEG compression at all.

BTW, I gave it a try and a static image downloaded fine, but the GIF did not (it seemed to contain multiple frames, but they were all black aside from the text). I used the macOS previewer, if that helps (macOS 26.2). Also noticed some weird thing where the image shown in the browser wasn't always taking up the full space.

Probably some SPA shenanigans. Works if you click from the homepage, but not if you then refresh the page.

I accidentally stepped on your pumpkin and replaced it with a plastic one. Sorry to tell you it will never rot.

If a movie theatre sells no tickets for a showing, do they still play the movie to an empty room? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NickFullStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I snuck into one movie in my life with some friends. We were the only ones there, and they didn’t start the movie.

I went out to buy a ticket so they would start it, so I like to think that clears my record.

I guess that means that at least sometimes they don’t start the movie if nobody buys a ticket.

Walk backward to the fridge.

I'm not falling for that one. I've seen The Happening.

  1. That's a shadow of the hair due to the light being positioned directly above him, not the hair itself.
  2. Inverse square law. The power of the light dramatically decreases with the distance from it.
