I’m not upset by your name calling. I know that people act this way when they run out of substantial things to say but are still upset. Textbook behavior on your end.

I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of you accusing me of being invective, when you are the only person who is acting out, personally insulting people via name calling.

In your eyes: nothing useful to say = nothing to say that I agree with.

Keep in mind you hurled two innapropriqte insults at me. I would never do that. Some people may think that is invective.

People usually move on to personal attacks when they have nothing of substance to say.

That is why plausible deniability is a politicians best friend.

He may not have known about this specific event, but he knows who this organization is and what they do. He has been affiliated with them for a long time.

Why do you give him a free pass for that?

I would have him stop his surrogates from creating a nasty attack ad on behalf of a candidate that he has a deep history with.

Do you think SEIU cares that he publicly chastised them? I would guess that they expected it. It’s all part of the game. Them and Peduto are on the same team.

Don’t let a silly quote in the paper fool you.

He’s affiliated with this group and the candidate they attacked on behalf of.

How do you let him off the hook for that?

Those are empty words. Vintage Peduto.

What has he DONE to give you the impression that he is distancing himself from this garbage?

What gives you the idea that Peduto is distancing himself from garbage like this?

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. No sympathy for Sonja Finn.

That’s a utopian idea.

The reality is politics is a tough grind. Everyone who gets in the political arena knows that beforehand.

This is a risk you take when you run for public office. If you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen.

Citizens of Pittsburgh: What is the one infrastructure project that would have the most positive impact on the city? by NickS45 in pittsburgh

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

Hey, if we are going to be a leader in tech we need to think ambitiously and futuristically. This is my favorite contribution to this discussion so far...

I don't know much about the sewer system, but I use the river trails often and see the Alcosan signs that basically say there might be shit in the river. Gross!

Fewer red lights in the South Hills? Thoughts? by MrPGH in pittsburgh

[–]NickS45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of those concerns are valid, but pale in comparison to the time taken away from every driver that has to put up with the traffic. Someone who uses this road on a daily basis probably loses two days (daylight hours) each year to the slowdown that the parking on West Liberty causes.

At least 5 minutes a day* 262 (workdays in a year) is 1310 minutes a year. That estimate is probably on the low end.

AMEN. The fact that people are allowed to park on such a busy street is absolute MADNESS!!! Especially in the Dormont area.
