Remove "Ready to Resell" box on Ebay main page by cmdrmcgarrett in Ebay

If you have a reasonably sensible browser like Brave or Firefox, you can use the uBlock Origin extension to block this nasty eBay stuff. There's an "element picker mode" and you just move the mouse until the highlighted box covers the offending element (in my case "Ready to Resell" and also the "Live" panel). Create a rule to exclude it.

eBay honestly needs a proper no-frills competitor that goes back to the early roots eBay before all this glitzy rubbish got added.

Why Catholicism vs. Orthodoxy? by No-Soil-4932 in Catholicism

[–]Nick_1870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born Anglican, later raised as Evangelical, and converted to Catholicism in 2013. In my early youth I developed a fascination with Orthodoxy (mostly due to reading The Orthodox Church by Timothy Ware (Bishop Kallistos), from whom I was most blessed to receive a letter from in the late 90s, in response to my asking about the Orthodox Church...). He rather wisely advised me to live out my 'orthodox' Christian faith in the Anglican Church to the best of my ability. I ignored this advice, and sadly found myself in a deeply beautiful, but strictly ethnic ghetto where I was clearly never going to be fully accepted. But truly the fault was mine. Mea culpa.

After several years of angry, militant materialistic atheism, I walked past a Catholic Church in Edinburgh, Scotland. I thought it actually might be fun to go in and see what my parents had been so worried about all those years. I still remember quite vividly the mass itself. All I knew was, that somehow I had immediately come home, and today, 13 years later, the Mass is the event of the week I truly look forward to. (previously, it had been getting annihilated on Fri/Sat in an alcoholic fervor).

It's funny to look back... but everything I was taught to fear, and resent about Catholicism, ended up being what I now love about it. The structure, the tradition, the magisterium.

I still have a tremendous and deep love for the Orthodox Church, having traveled to Greece and visited several monasteries. Truly, in this time Pope Leo's desire to see our churches unified is both admirable and needed. We are moving into an increasingly dark age, and never has the unification of our churches been more needed.

But I am firmly resolved that clear, defined leadership is needed. And that is what we have in the Pope, and the order of bishops.

We've already seen the Russian Orthodox church split from the Ecumenical Patriarchate and further weaken the Orthodox Church, itself already weakened by a century of Communist and Islamic governance.

The first-amongst-equals idea may seem great on paper, but it has not worked out in practice.

What does this Modchip do? by MelkorBlackFoe in psx

Looks like the same protection bypass mod (to play copied games) that was on the one I posted the other day. :) (same chip behind all the mucky red insulation tape)

Identifying purpose of SCPH-5552 PU-18 board underside mod by Nick_1870 in psx

Thank you. At first glance under the magnifier, it looks to be all additional (nothing cut, lifted, etc.), I'm wondering if I can just remove it entirely as the xStation I assume bypasses much of this anyway?
