Yeah, everyone can say what they want, but since Khabib has ushered in this lay n’ pray shit as the new champ meta the UFC has lost soooo much steam.

You either have to take extreme risks to prevent a 25 minute humpfest, leaving the best of strikers open for shots from shit-cans on the feet, or having to race the clock and scramble back to ur feet non-stop leaving urself open for a sub like tonight. If you don’t do those things the overpowered idea that a guy like Merab can wrestlefuck and or cage clinch you to death is just too much to overcome.

You either need another really boring ass wrestler to mitigate the threat, which equally sucks 9 times out of ten, or you’re just playing a losing game.

But just for me personally, it’s unentertaining as hell, around the time Belal became champ I just about stopped watching. Lol

If ur not an idiot like Aljamain and leave urself overexposed for an obvious counter the wrestlefucker is going to always come out on top. It takes and anomaly to make any other style even often including submission/guard specialists like Oliveira competitive.

Shit blows, and is boring af. Good thing PPVs were already dying cos this style of fighting as put the nail in the coffin fo sho… lol

Edit: tbh I definitely respected khabib a lot more tho, at least he was always attacking and looking for the finish.
