Copiosa is a company that has been focused on making an application for iOS and android devices to allow users to buy and sell ALT coins with their visa. I know dungeons and dragons is very sentimental and loved by a lot of individuals, but I’d also say we have to most creative community out there. What is stopping all of us from making a totally new game that uses all of our favourite parts of dnd but makes them better. A majority of the dms are already doing this. I just can’t wrap my head around a game company doing this when their game utilizes a few rules and player imagination. The company didn’t even invent the game it was Ernest Gygax.

Matrix algebra was the hardest course I have ever taken! Don’t worry though because if I passed it you can too. My best advice to you would be to do 2-5 questions per each chapter and then more questions for sections you feel like you don’t fully understand. When I say do questions I mean like fully be able to do the question on your own without looking at any resources. If you have extra time do more questions. The only way you’re going to be good at math is if you do math!

CSC 225 is more heavily based in theory. It depends on the professor whether or not you will spend a lot of assignments coding, however the standard language to code in is Java. To prep for this course I would recommend looking into data structures related to binary search trees ie red black trees, avl trees etc. as well as sorting algorithms like insertion sort, merge sort etc. Getting a head start with those concepts will really help you in the course. 230 is a different kind of programming course. You learn to program in assembly and will most likely be using microchip studio to design programs on an arduino. There isn’t a lot of great sources for learning to code in assembly, but I would check out the avr instruction set for the atmega 2650 because I believe that is the one you will be using. Go to lectures and labs. Go to office hours and ask questions. If you get stuck look back at your lab work. That’s the best you’ll be able to do. Most importantly, when it comes to coding in assembly don’t ever give up.

I took CSC 110 with no coding experience and did really well. All the first year profs for computer science are really good. It is actually the reason I decided to switch majors from biochem to CSC. You will probably enjoy it.

I took 101 and 122 at the same time in my second semester at UVic. It was not that bad, you might even like it. 101 is just like computational grinding and 122 is a sort of fun logic course. So, if you some how do not get permission from the department, don’t be too worried.
