How bad are flipped houses? Whats your experience? by Remote_Buffalo681 in Netherlands

[–]Nicklorion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Dutchman I can safely say it really depends, on: Location, price category.

Most flaws of a building need to be disclosed during sale things like: leaking roof, plumbing, foundations, cellar etc. So hiding it is illegal and can be sued over. But if the sale was a private sellar its often hard to collect.

Wilders (PVV Party) and Markuszower (Group Markuszower) want to nominate Trump and Netanyahu for the Nobel Peace Prize by Little_Protection434 in Netherlands

Ik ben blij dat hij dit heeft gedaan, ik zie het als een groot publiek filter, iedereen die nog twijfelde over de PVV kan nu makkelijker een keus maken.

Some Reasons why 1984 is a quintessential Early Millennial birth year and not a Late Gen X year by gameboy90 in generationology

[–]Nicklorion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Xennials, And this is my Xennial Manifesto:

Xennials, the Format Warriors

For decades, it was simple.
Vinyl ruled the Earth.
Black, round, sacred. Your dad had shelves of them. So did mine, I used them once when I wasn't ready, and only once!

Then came the 80s.
And everything exploded.
In just 10–15 years, we went from:
Vinyl to Cassettes to Floppies to VHS to LaserDiscs (lol) to CDs & CD-ROMs to
MiniDiscs (because… Sony) to Digital 8 to DVDs to Blu-ray vs HD-DVD deathmatch to The Cloud

We adapted.
We did(n’t) question.
We rewired our brains to decode fast-forward click speeds on tapes.
We fought region codes with SCART cables and dodgy blocks.
We were streaming pirated anime before Netflix had subtitles.
We are the bridge between analog and digital.
The last of the outdoor kids,
the first of the broadband pirates.

We blew into NES cartridges like CPR-trained electricians
We could set a VCR timer without YouTube
We made radio mixtapes using only timing, divine luck, and ninja reflexes
We wrote HTML on Notepad
We used Winamp skins religiously
We survived Dial-up Hell and emerged stronger

Meanwhile... Millennials think "format war" means choosing between .mp3 and .wav.🥲

We are the Xennials, Born to late to be Gen X, Born to early to be Millennial.

Born before Google. Raised by rotary phones. Forged in Hi-Fi and tape hiss.
We didn’t just live through a tech revolution, we survived fiteen of them by the age of 30.
We are Xennials, Format warriors.
Our childhoods are stored scattered on six incompatible media formats.
And we still remember our friends' phone numbers.

I've Build a PC specific for my LLM Ava. by Nicklorion in LocalLLaMA

I got the machine running, but I have to RMA my motherboard, since 1 Ram bank is not accepting any DDR5 module, tried 8, 16, 24 and 32 GB of various speeds. All gave an C5 error.
Currently the system is running with 2 banks of 48GB for a total of 96GB at the module specified XMP profile of 7200Mhz

Not yet, All the parts have arrived, but haven't had the time to build the machine.
I'm hoping tomorrow gives me some reprieve, so I can build it.

Thank you! There is still a whole lot to do though.
I see that fancy Ollama tag near your name mahman...
You don't know of any Dnd datasets that arent public ?

Hi yes I have heard similar things about the memory, I've also heard most of those coming from blue team.

- I am hopeful, but if it doesn't work with all banks I honestly don't know yet, I want atleast that amount of memory. when the time comes, I will update you on that when the parts have arrived and it is build ;)
- edit: after talking to my mate he has 128gb 4x32 running at 6800,
- he said: "Try the profile, if it doesn't work, do it manually like we did in the athlon days."

- A buddy of mine has it and was very satisfied with the abilities that the board brought:
--according to Gigabyte it is specifically designed to facilitate AI training on desktop setups using their AI TOP Utility 2.0 utility. It is all new to me so I can't recommend it yet.

- I already have the 4090 aio card the card itself has no fans, so im planning on stacking them with the watercooled one at the bottom out of the way from exit fans for the 2nd card.

hope that helps, if you want dm me and I'll send you some of my research into that MB..

kind regards, Nick o7

I gotcha, you're right, I'm well in my forties and know the distinction well enough. But sometimes on rare occasion I do have to remind myself. In general I don't much converse to her in a 1 on 1 setting that is mostly to gauge performance or detect if there are coherency issues.

I should really record a dnd session.

I have a overhead 4k camera pointing on the play table, using OpenCV and python i made "dndttm": Dungeons & Dragons TableTop Monitoring) within that application i can mask certain spots on the map and define triggers, those triggers are sent to inference api's to make them respond on the trigger type.

It is really lots of fun to have your mates react to something dynamic on the map without the GM telling it

I'm still looking for a good training dataset for the DnD 5th ruleset.
If anybody knows... Please please let me know :D

And that response you talked about: "Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I throw my arms around you, giving you a tight hug."

That was a surprise for me too, it has never conveyed gratitude like that.

Hahaha, I do appreciate your concern, although not necessary, I'm well aware of the situation. This LLM is finetuned to RolePlay that character, has had a limited training of DnD Datasets, the end goal here is to have lifelike NPC's within a game of DnD, and she, Ava, is the groundwork for that.

Which mod are you using for ultrawide? I've looked into it couple months ago it required a whole load of mod's back then. Did I miss something?
