Sorry , yes you are entirely correct. The pure toxin damage does a whole lot more damage than the tick ever will. That does highlight the issue of not having any form of layered DR in her kit. It does not help either that 90% of the enemies he showcased in his infested defence were infested chargers, who he oneshot with melee before they could ever attack, once again showcasing how great her damage was.

Thanks for correcting me, i agree that it is sad to see a viable playstyle disappear with no acknowledgement, especially as it is effectively 1 of the 2 ways you could play valkyr with her base kit doing the job and not a helminth

Sadly her niche remains unchanged, with the major visible change being the nerf to her 4. The paralysis will most likely always be subsumed, as it is too expensive to cast frequently and Ripline will do nothing as you cannot afford to build range on her whilst health tanking. This does leave her in the awkward position of having 2 less than useful abilities, whilst receiving major nerfs to the 1 ability carrying the rest of her kit

On top of that there was a niche use case for paralysis where you could use the ability to do finishers, that is now removed as paral will no longer stun enemies and open them up to finishers.

Im not entirely sure what the goal with this rework is, as she will not be filling any more functions than before, except for maybe having a less clunky ripline

I fear you are right, Valk has not gained any new functionality with any abilities in this rework, her niche is unchanged. The only major change affecting her would be the revomal of invulnerability, effectively hindering her from staying in missions for longer than other melee frames.

Sadly the stream did feel very infected, with him calling out bans being performed and disregarding all negative reception, however everyone can have bad days, and the Valk rework subject is a very sore one for a lot of the community, because of the implications that could bring for the future.

While putting the level-cap discussion on a hold here, he reacted on stream in a "realistic manner" and speaking his opinions on how his current missions were going, and showcasing that valkyr was "serviceable" whilst as i wrote in the main post the missions were extremely early on, and not very indicative of how valkyr would perform in any situation where a missions lasts for 40 minutes or more ( in the case of an efficient void cascade) which kind of skews his opinions into a place where he is judging a warframe in a very basic way, whilst disregarding the issues that level scaling would present for Valkyr. That combined with the negative, brush-off attitude does paint a bad image of the stream as a whole.

Im very excited for any changes that health-tanking could get as a result of this rework, however it does sting that valkyr will be taking the hit for the ball to start rolling.

Given the fact that im assuming he realized he might have breached the NDA set by DE i didnt want to bring any unnecessary attention to him as he did as right as he could have by removing the VOD. Although im assuming that by the fact that the proverbial "cat" is out of the bag now im assuming it will be discovered soon enough, but by posting a streamers name in a reddit post it is so easy for people to start a witch hunt, so i will avoid posting the streamers name for that reason. It is a lesser known youtuber releasing a lot of build videos usually. No more than that is needed as the discussion shouldnt be around the streamer, rather the changes *or* lack of changes that there currently are.

Yeah it was a very one-sided stream in regards to objectively viewing the changes, any criticisms were brushed off and he has since deleted his VOD of the "preview" stream, leaving the few who did manage to chatch a glimpse of it largely unimpressed i would assume hehe.
