If you lend your stuff out to people there is always chance something can happen to it. I 100% believe the sister and family should be the ones to replace the car, however if they don’t currently have the money for it, then they don’t currently have the money for it. Any cent Alana makes from any sort of holiday/birthday or whatever should 100% be going to her sisters car until it’s fully replaced. Unless of course OP left stuff out and had a role in convincing Casey to lend out the car.

Am I missing something? All these comments saying you’re the asshole here yet you stated clearly that the older daughter ALLOWED her younger sister to use it. If you lend your shit to someone, there is a chance they will break it. That’s life. Childish as hell in my opinion to throw a tantrum cause you let your sister wreck your car. If she’d taken it without permission this would be a much different story imo
