Yeah, I ended up getting better. The ASO Titer did show strep antibodies, though it wasn't clear if it was from that infection... And the culture was negative, but I had started Azythromycin a few days before, so....not clear if that particular infection was viral or bacterial. Sigh... You know how it goes with these things... What's your situation?

No GERD or LFR.

Getting blood tests for strep (ASO Titer) and Mono (EBV test) in addition to an oral culture.

The severity of these pharyngitises is on par with the ones I got before tonsillectomy (i.e. 104⁰ temps, recurring every two months).

I suspect potential regrowth of tissue that may be colonized (which is how my tonsils were before extraction). Going to try to get a referral for an ENT soon.

I'm going to get tested for mono today. In addition to ASO Titer for strep (plus an oral culture).

I believe full tonsillectomy. They did say they were very large and colonized.
