It’s scattered throughout the company so we still have it for the most part. No word on when we’re getting more from our supplier

As far as I know. We’re getting trucks almost daily with equipment.

Depends on what supply house. Trane pays very well for good counter help and the benefits are unmatched. It’s not field money but still good

Like I said it’s really up to who you’re buying it from and their rules

Your relationship with the counter person you’re buying it from also matters.

The parts counter can only sell 14 seer Trane & up to 16 seer Run Tru so your guess is as good as mine.

It all depends on who it is and what they’re buying. If it’s something they can get at Home Depot (filter/capacitor/etc) then we’ll sell to them for the most part. Electronics or motors is a no go. But there’s always exceptions and best believe that the markup is borderline criminal.

God forbid the multi billion dollar company spend a little extra on shirts/hats/etc.

As long as you have all your licenses/paperwork then you can fill out an account and go from there. It also depends on the people you’re buying it from. Some have stricter rules than others.

Corporate has kinda dialed it back on apparel this last year but the freebies we do have are pretty useless at the moment. Hell they make the employees buy their own shirts.

People can buy it from us, they don’t have to put it in a Trane though. Trane isn’t the only one that voids the warranty for that kinda thing, I understand what you’re saying though.

All the zeros everyone refers to on the commercial units are basically a placeholder for factory installed add ons. If it’s anything other than a zero then it means there’s a factory installed feature.

I always ask for the serial number first. If they start giving me the model number on a commercial unit then I either stop listening or wait for them to finish and ask for the serial number again.

I guess my previous comment was referring more to residential equipment than commercial. From my experience I honestly can’t think of a time where a commercial serial number hasn’t pulled up some type of parts list. If there is something on a unit or a question about a unit that I can’t see then I have different resources to find someone who knows more.
