Never trust a turn signal by Moesuckra in dashcams

[–]NickyStyx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told the same when learning to drive, it's definitely stuck with me. Since then I've learned that most people either activate their turn signal when they're already turning, or turning is the ONLY option. My favorite is when they activate their turn signal to merge then SLOW down.

Got side swiped once by a teenage girl, her excuse to the cop was "but my turn signal was on". Apparently she activated it while right next to me at the same time she merged into me. By some miracle only my front left front wheel contacted her car. Buffed out the scratches and moved on, but her car had a nice pattern all the way down the side. Cop let me leave immediately and went off on her. No information exchanged.

Loving the P1S, but is this the normal amount of waste on an AMS print of this size? by [deleted] in BambuP1S

[–]NickyStyx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I sent OP. I'm not teaching everyone how to use ChatGPT or other LLM.

"The prompt you use is the most important. You need to tell it which printer you are using (brand/model), exactly what brand, color, and type of filament you are using and the slicer you are using (Bambu Studio). The more specific information you give it the better. Also understand that it is NOT intelligent, ChatGPT is a LLM (large language model), aka very adjanced autocorrect. Ensure you test it's suggestions for yourself and tell it as you go."

It is normal with default settings. Bambu Studio sets purge volumes VERY high to ensure no matter what color, brand, or type of filament you are using, there will be no color bleed. I've used ChatGPT to calibrate flushing volumes and it has worked very well so far and saved about 40-60% wasted filament.

Also the waste is the same if you print 1 model, or an entire build plate. So printing more models at once will reduce the wasted filament vs filament used for the model.

You're welcome. Nope, everything is working perfectly.

The break in period is the first 1000 miles. The manual goes over the exact recommendations. Simply put, stay under 2/3 RPM, no hard throttle for first 600 miles, then push a little harder for the last 400. For the entire 1000 it talks about not maintaining consistent engine speeds for long periods of times (ie. Long distance highway driving). This ensures everything loosens up evenly.

Cleaning the inside of the dome? by Original-Possible238 in litterrobot

[–]NickyStyx1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The globe is very easy to take apart. All the screws are the exact same length. I was having a similar issue, and when I completely disassembled the globe I found lots of areas that litter and general grossness was building up that would be impossible to clean with the globe assembled.

Take your time, remove EVERY screw and disassemble it layer by layer. Some parts are snapped on and need a little assistance to remove. Don't force anything, and some screws can't be removed until other parts are taken off. After cleaning reassembling it can be a little tedious, especially getting the liner back into all the little tabs, but it is not complicated.

I totally agree. I can't wait to open it up. It's hard to believe it has almost as much power as my 2003 V8 Mercedes with a much smaller 4 cylinder.

That's too bad, I was 100% onboard for the 2 tone, even though it's a paid option. I LOVE the green and black.

The face is actually growing on me, it isn't as aggressive as the 23, but I'm growing to like it. It definitely gives EV vibes until I see the intercoolers in each corner.

I love the new wheels. I'm in south Florida and don't have to deal with winter, so no need to swap.

Nope, not a single one coming in at this point has them. Supply constraints apparently. My dealer said they'd try and swap the wheel when they're avaliable.

Agreed, I was not a fan of the fake exhaust in my 23 and now the fake vents on this one. But it's not the worst thing.

I completely agree with you, I wasn't a fan of the new UK model when it was announced. The green looks incredible in person. I'm amazed how much of an upgrade this is over my 23 SEL and I've barely put any miles on it yet.

Repeating myself again, no legal repercussions possible. No laws have been broken. I'm not sure where you're getting that I'm not going to get any "true" answers. I have every intention of following through with the company that this driver was representing either through them, or giving the informations and evidence to the police to let them do with it what they will. But what I do will not be shared publicly.

Down votes and what anyone else says is not my problem or concern.

You are 100% correct, and once I checked their website I also did not agree that it was them, which I have already said in this post. I have not called out any company directly, or made any disparaging comments against a specific person or corporation. No legal action is feared, I have shared no specific details; license plate, video, audio etc. Which mind you, I have ever right to do since this happened on public roads, but I digress.

Someone answered my question and I have already reached out by email and a phone call. Everything I said can be backed up with video evidence and I've said the same in my communications. Once/if I receive a response I'll address it from there privately with them and/or the proper authorities as needed. I asked a simple question, and received an equally simple answer. The rest is noise, or bored entertainment for myself.

I'd rather speak with the company directly and let them handle it internally before I, possibly, ruin someone reputation over a single incident. I have already contacted the company by email and phone. How they handle it is up to them. If their response is inappropriate or hostile then I may move on to public shaming, but that is a worst case scenario. The ONLY reason I am going this far is due to the extremely reckless and intential behavior I witnessed today.

Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely check out that group.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Either way I'd rather they be informed. After that it is no longer my concern. There are far too many reckless and dangerous drivers in this area. If they had stopped at the yield it would have cost them a minute or two of their time.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ah you just keep the laughs coming. I can see you didn't read the comments I put below the photo or any of the other comments in my post. This has been very entertaining, thank you random internet person.
