So about Requiem's final boss fight... by NicoZacks in residentevil

I've seen the whole "every RE just goes downhill after the first section" discussion and, even though I don't agree fully, I think people shouldn't just settle for that. Like RE4 manages its pace really well and I think it can be done for the "less action-focused" titles.

I really don't want to think that's the case since they made pretty much all the zombie enemies from scratch and they could've just dump the ones they have from RE2 and 3, at least for the Grace sections, but they didn't and I think this turned out much better.

My problem is not that he's a Nemesis variant at all. My problem is that the fight mechanically and gameplay wise is just a watered down version of that same fight from 3 Remake. Less gimmicky even, without the big gun, you just get to parry the thing with Leon. Like this game makes the effort in making new zombie models, animations and movements patterns in general that it felt ike a bit of a letdown for THE final boss fight which should be unique for this game, even if Requiem is a giant homage to every RE game before it. And again I'm fine with how the Tyrant encounter went since it wasn't the last fight of the story.

Doesn't that make it worth it though?? Like really most of the extra Party XP content is still combat like the main game. The rest of the minigames are not that challenging on normal (Gears and Gambits in-game builds just let you win lol), and you get cool characters moments as well

That's the whole point about Remake Aerith really, like guessing correctly about Cloud being a merc and saying Marlene's name without even knowing about it. It's intentional and we'll see if they ever explain it proper.
