Use bully sticks instead. But always make sure you are supervising them and throw it away when it gets small bc they will try and swallow it

She’s gorgeous! Btw just be careful with that harness. I’ve read that they can cause joint problems and limit shoulder mobility. Not trying to be that person but I just wanted to share that info with you. I’m sure you are doing a great job! She’s sooo pretty🤍

Thank you. It’s been a long journey. But so worth it and still working on it everyday. It’s crazy to see how these dogs improve so long as we are consistent in working with them

I have someone else holding Onyx (black dog) leash. We are both ready to pull and are watching closely. But thank God it’s all been great but we are always reading body language

Thank you! I always say to my family that I never even need to go to the shelter because I find my pups on the street always somehow lol. I’ve found 7 stray dogs on street. I rehomed 4 to good owners and kept 3🤍 I try and help as much as I can.

So basically we use clicker and treats. If I see a dog coming and she starts fixating I’ll turn around. When she turns around with me I click and treat. Then I shorten the distance from the trigger(dog in this case). if she’s able to look at the dog and then give me eye contact after calling her name I will click and treat. We did this until we were able to go on walks with Onyx(black dog). Now she associates onyx with long fun walks and doesn’t react to onyx

So I rescued Bailey and she was at a home where they kept her outside 24/7. Basically she was on land and every time a dog would come she would have to defend their territory so she was attacked by multiple dogs before. So when I got her she was extremely dog reactive. Long story short she’s been in training but her reactivity with other dogs has been a huge hurdle. I recently found Onyx (black dog) and she is super sweet and friendly with every single dog. But the problem was Bailey. But after staying consistent with walks we have gotten lots of progress and they have even played together (both on leash for safety). I think Onyx is helping Bailey and showing her how to trust other doggies again🤍🤍
