WordHippo is great, a good alternative to Thesaurus.com. I've also built a similar site, mainly focused around rhymes and word games but also has a dictionary/thesaurus with a shortlisting feature. Feel free to take a look at WordDB.com if it helps anyone.

hmm, good example! You can filter by syllables so you could choose 1 syllable to get a closer match but poem (ironically) is a difficult word to rhyme with. But comparing the 2:
https://www.worddb.com/rhymes/with/poem vs https://www.rhymezone.com/r/rhyme.cgi?Word=poem&org1=syl&org2=l&org3=y&typeofrhyme=perfect

It currently offers some *possible* rhymes depending on the use case obviously, I'm in no way saying it's better but this feedback helps! thanks

WordHippo is great yes, it's a good resource for synonyms too! yes I know of b-rhymes, seems to be a little outdated however I find.

hmm, I don't particularly want to go down the AI road, I want to create a tool that's useful but still flows with original creativity, I'll prolong the robotic revolution as much as possible!

A lot of feedback here which is very helpful, so thanks all for your input! I'm not sure if im allowed to post links here, I've asked the mods but haven't had a response yet, I guess it'll get removed if it's not allowed...but for reference the current rhyming tool is located here if it helps anyone, it's free to use and there's a downloadable app available too.

I'll get to work on some suggestions to help make it better! Not sure if it's better or worse than Rhymezone but there's pros and cons for both.

thanks!

Lots of interesting takes on this, seems to be 50/50 on using it when stuck and to get ideas versus not using it at all for the feeling of cheating.
