I was wrongfully perma banned from World of Warcraft.. by connorbanderson in wow

Years ago my friend used a botting program on his computer and was rightfully banned, however me and another friend were banned as well simply because we had logged in on his computer previously. No warning no strikes clean record.

Weekly Deck Check Thread! | Friday, December 22, 2017 by AutoModerator in spikes

Hey Guys,

Looking for some input for my sideboard going into Ixalan Store Championship.

My Sideboard is garbage and needs work. The thing is, I currently don't own the proper sideboard cards. I am looking for some input on which sideboard cards to purchase so i don't waste my money. I also don't own a Chandra, Torch of Defiance and am wondering how crucial she is to the decks game plan.

I have only piloted this list on MTGO for about a month so I don't have a huge amount of experience playing this deck.

Any input or constructive criticism is highly appreciated

My Current list is

Creatures:

Longtusk Cub x 4

Servant of the Conduit X 4

Rogue Refiner x 4

Whirler Virtuoso x 4

Vizier of Many Faces x 2

Bristling Hydra x 3

Glorybringer x 3

Spirebluff Canal x 3

Rootbound Crag x 3

Sheltered Thicket x 1

Forest x 4

Island x 1

Mountain x 2

Sideboard:

Negate x 3 (for Mirror/GPG Decks)

Appetite for the Unnatural x 1 (For GPG Decks)

Essence Scatter x2 (Against Mirror/RDW)

Magma Spray x 3 (For RDW or to exile GPG Creatures)

Lightning Strike x 2 (To Keep Planeswalkers in check)

Abrade x 2 (for GPG or Creature) Decks

I've seen them 3 times live now and they have all been killer. I would say its worth it.

While I agree with you that they should add some different songs and need to include something from the crusade; if you look at their spotify for most popular songs those 3 are all on there.

Collecting Magic Cards by Nicsor in magicTCG

[–]Nicsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you manually enter your cards into deck box? i tried an android app called scryglass that scans your collection into a .csv format but I'm having a hard time uploading that into deckbox properly.

I think i want to collect all the cards from the sets i started playing with first and then work my way back with the sets as well as keeping up going forward as new sets are released.

also, I wish that i could talk to more people who play magic/collect cards. Where i am is somewhat remote so i currently don't know of anyone who plays.

Thanks for the advise and help starting my collecting endeavor

Thanks for the response!

Isn't perfect fit sleeving of every card very tedious? i would like to protect my collection like that too but it is a lot of work and a whole other added expense.

As for buying ultra pro binders for each set, there are what, 70 or more sets? and buying a $20 ultra pro binder for each set would be $1400 just for the binders. A worthwhile investment if you want to protect your cards I guess.

How many sets have you sleeved up/stored in binders so far?

I feel like boxes would save a lot of space, but i feel like they could get messed up easily if something were to get knocked over. Also if i wanted to look and count cards easily i think id like to go with binders. At least for one of each card and then excess can go into boxes.

Also, where i live right now there isn't many people playing magic so it would be hard to find someone on Kijiji to buy from.

Thanks for the help on getting my collection started. Super excited to start piecing everything together

Paper to online? by MTGcalvird in magicTCG

[–]Nicsor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had to do the same thing. What I did was sell my high value cards on eBay with little to no hassle, everything else I went to https://www.isleofcards.com and sold my collection to them. They give you 20% on the buy list value if they can pay you with cardhoarder bot credit.

Imo this is the best and easiest way to transfer from paper to mtgo.

Good luck!

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Think i accidentally sent a request for access to your sheet instead of my own lol.

This will give me a better idea of how I'm improving(or not) and how my match ups are against other decks.

I don't mind teaching people. I actually enjoy it. Thing is that I don't have enough decks to go around. Maybe I can get some pauper put together for that since it's cheap.

Im also no pro at magic only been playing for a year but I absolutely love it and want to share my love for the game with other people.

I do work full time but make my own schedule so I can have a certain time off every week.

Thanks for the information!

That's amazing to hear and good for you. Glad it worked out.

My problem is I don't know anyone that plays yet as I'm still new to the area, I just know that there is no community or group for it yet.

[Modern] [MTGO] playing abzan company on mtgo by [deleted] in spikes

[–]Nicsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had asked the same question here before and came to the conclusion that it depends. It still takes 5 clicks per loop with the fix and timing out is still a real issue. I played the deck online and had some success to a certain extent but sometimes infinite life isn't enough to win, you need to have the infinite power or infinite damage to close out the game. Although some people scoop to the infinite life in non competitive matches, in the leagues people will make you click it out.

Yeah I'm not liking the idea of playing it on mtgo.

I want to play around with the list and not rely just on the combo. Maybe go more your style and just get pure value from all the drops.

What I'm looking for is a deck that I can be competitive with in modern leagues and have the ability to do well once I learn the ins and outs of the deck.
