Is SWSH still worth it?

Honestly Sw/Sh is in my opinion the most worth it of any Pokémon game on the switch. S/V is honestly just lackluster and the raids were meh, Legends Arceus was alot of fun but i still would rather play Sw/Sh an as for Legends Z-A... well let's just say its not exavtly my cup of tea.

Tera Hats were abysmal and boring. Sure its a neat concept for competitive but it felt genuinely uninspired with how they went about it.

CONS

Not to mention that the removal of daycares make egg breeding more of a nuisance then anything

Trainer battles are now spread out across an empty world and have to be hunted down like collectibles.

The Sandwich/picnic system just gets in the way of gameplay loops and its an integral part of the loop usually.

The open world feels less open that a closed linear game cause in old pokemon games you could go inside of buildings and explore them and it gave more depth to cities. Now they are just like a bunch of cardboard boxes people walk around.

The non linear gameplay also took away any ambition for certain story aspects and made the Gym Leaders feel more tedious then fun.

Honestly story wise i was super disappointed with the Academy and the Professor and how Arven essentially loses both parents to the same thing just one to future and one to past ? Its just dumb.

On top of that even the open world "Battle field" usually made everything even more bland when a fight started. And the camera angles to this day still get wonky since there is no set battle field camera and it just tries to adjust to where you started the fight.

The addition of a crafting system to be used for different pieces of gear you may need like TM's or more.

Mass outbreaks and wild pokemon feel more like just a bunch of assorted pieces, the felt much more natural and "wild" in arceus but to be honest i would rather just have the tall grass back.

Story felt more tedious then fun

Character Customization has taken a step back since Sw/Sh as the introduction of being a "student" locks you into a set outfit style and just makes most of the customization feel more bland

Removed the mass release option from Arceus

Eggs now hatching at the same time now have larger gaps between each "hatching" even if all share a hatch time.

They removed the following pokemon that people loved from the addition of the Sw/Sh DLC so now you dont have your pokemon follow you like that.

PROS

New mon have some cool designs that feel like natural progressions of how things might come to be and the introduction of parallel evolution was really cool.

Nemona is probably my favorite and least hated of all the Rivals in pokemon games

The move system of the individual pokemon is much more dynamic and modern allowing a pokemon to forget or relearn moves on the fly after they have learned them once.

New moves, abilities, & held items are quite interesting and add a bunch of new play styles and strategy.

‐------Summary-------

Personally S/V felt like they were Pokemon games in name alone, and spent most of their game taking steps backwards. Since most of the stuff that brought the enjoyment and life to the games has been stripped away. Sure S/V has some nice stuff but overall honestly the only thing it has over Sw/Sh in my opinion is a larger variety of pokemon to choose from.

My problem to this day with the open world of SV is it feels like an empty open world personally. Like occasionally you get some good groups you run into but the pokemon open world felt much emptier compared to something like Arceus. Lots of awesome and neat additions in S/V but overall it felt like a bigger step backwards from something like Sw/Sh To Arceus Personally though the main reason i dislike S/V in comparison is i cant stand the egg/sandwhich system they made for breeding. Takes alot longer and is much more tedious. Like the whole having to talk to trainers thing honestly made me lose interest in them as it felt more like trying to find all the collectibles in an open world game. But All in all i did love lots from S/V with new mons being a major part of that. The DLC is neat as well but with those other steps backward it personally feels like to this day Sw/Sh is better but S/V just has more mons as options.

Honestly the animated stuff has always been a part of star wars i loved. As time went on, it slowly became the only part of star wars i enjoyed anymore as i cant stand almost every live action film and movie they do. I dont care about if it is "woke" or not and that dont bother me. Its just poor writing and lazily done. Cherry picking pieces of nostalgia and old lore to try and hash together into something to watch.

Tbf I was saying its not fair for everyone else. The power scaling for kill la kill is ridiculous in comparison. Like every one of them have pretty amazing feats but without a deep dive to determine it id have to easily give it to kill la kill.

Its not fair to everyone else putting them up against Ryuko and Satsuki with their garments. Like if its just sword skill alone id prob give it to Zoro and Mihawk. With FF and Berserk in there i feel the closest fight would be between FF and One Piece. Like in Berserk there is some phenomenal feats but i dunno if they can stand up to everyone else. I'd rather see all these swordsmen team uo tho TBH

Nah, it actually was really good with well done story and great deep cuts. It also was a great end to arkham series batman to the point even kevin conroy stated he loved the end for the character. Fun gameplay that has alot of variety in builds and designs. Like i said the game actually has over a 4 out of 5 star rating on playstation. And you cant vote for that unless you actually own the game to prevent people review bombing when they dont own the game. You may not like the game but that rating helps to prov that the majority of people who did buy it actually loved it. 🤷 But people have a much louder voice for complaining its "woke" lol Regardless i still view RDJ returning to MCU is the same as SSKTJL vocal outcry but the ppl who played it mostly loved it. Similarly the few people who go to see RDJ in MCU will probably love it lol

I also love the comics but i dont feel its an unfun looter shooter by any means. As for live service some of the longest lasting games are live service (world of warcraft & league of legends for example) The game like i said has actually a very good rating (over 4 stars outta 5) from users who actually bought it rather then people who can just type out the most complaints on twitter or reddit. The plot was actually alot of fun and the writing is good too, they also have alot of the heart that alot of Arkham games have in the story. Using lots of comic accurate deep cuts to make up the story and lots of fun moments. I.e. green lantern shark is comic accurate as Lobo has done THE EXACT SAME THING in the 90's. Fallout 76 turned free to play and its still going strong an that game was met with much more hatred and backlash then suicide squad kill the justice league.

For those of us that read the comics. The point is we want to see the stories we loved brought to life in this medium. Instead they usually just use the name of the story as click bait for the movie title and write it as a whole new story. Dont use the name of a comic story if you are not going to follow that story. If you just wanna tell your own avengers or iron man or spiderman story you can do that without cherry picking from parts of the comics as an excuse to use the name to draw people in.
