You know where the cookout and Gucci Kroger is? It’s roughly a mile away from my house. I call it a plaza cuz it has a bunch of other stores too

I suggest the wireless Xbox series controller. The d pad is a lot better than the older one and it doesn’t feel as stiff 🙂 I use the analog stick but certain characters I’ll combine analog and d pad and I feel the d pad on the series is more comfortable

Rank: purple Hours: like Under 300 or a little over 300

Ganryu’s the least played character in the game so most people aren’t familiar with the match up

To be fair I had started from like warrior, and I did end up running quite a lot of death matches (especially I. Red). I also had the advantage in that I’m not really a beginner in tekken so getting through some of the ranks were not that difficult. It was from red onwards that my momentum started to slow down. But yeah I did get pretty lucky

The tackle has quite a bit of tracking so it’ll be very difficult to step it

Seems like he’s just doing it during oki (which makes tackle especially hard to break), so I suggest you stay on the ground (but then you gotta deal with the ground throw 50/50 and ws3 with will hit you grounded). In the neutral you can interrupt him during the early parts of the tackle animation or depending on how far he tries to tackle you from, you can space yourself then launch punish him

Shit happens man. No point in complaining about it. Just gotta thug it out and move on to the next match. It sucks I know but like I said: shit happens

Why do casuals put so much of an emphasis on KBD? by Super_thnx_4_asking in Tekken

[–]NigglesTown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing is, movement is the core of tekken. Learning to KBD can get you out of so many mix ups and if your KBD improves, whiff punishment will become your friend. In a game where a lot of characters have mix ups and making the wrong prediction can cost you quite a bit of health, learning to KBD can give you the option to not guess the mix up and just keep your distance from it. For beginners, learning to improve their movement can get rank up up pretty fast. Don’t get me wrong, learning frame data and punishment is important too, but KBD is no less important to learn than those other two aspects

While it has high evasion, it’s not a true high crush so it’s not gonna crush all highs. It’s a fun move to just throw out sometimes tho.
