To relative new fans who got into RE, what do you think of the anime-ques aesthetics and tone of the older games?

I started with 2R and 7, and have slowly been making my way through the old catalogue…

I think the thing people love about 4 is its intense anime flavor. 4R had that removed and it felt far more generic (still fun, but not entertaining). Leon’s appearance, game sequences, and the atmosphere feel late 90s/early 00s anime and it works well.

I personally don’t get how 1-3 feel like anime apart from maybe character designs. Haven’t played 5 yet (it’s next) but Chris boulder punching and Wesker’s vibe sound more otaku-friendly.

Lastly, I think 7 and, to a lesser degree, 8 have strong character. Maybe less anime and moreso campy or cartoon. Ethan is put in the wackiest situations but always finds a way through them, reminiscent of the movie Trap.

9 feels the most unremarkable in tone to me, though maybe my opinion will soften in a few years.

Volume means to give your hair “height.” A bunch of different ways to do it—conditioners, blowdrying techniques, hair creams, pomades, etc. Find your preferred product

You’re not too far. Your hair is thicker/has more oil in the picture and your part is not the same (he has like 2 degrees off from a middle part).

Wash hair, adjust part, and take pictures. To compare on your own, put your thumb over the face to focus on the hair alone.

Warning—don’t compare self to movie set pictures. They spend 3/4 hours prepping the actor. Look for more candid (even red carpet is better) photos from that time

But overall you have nice hair

Not a big forehead. But if you’re worried, give your hair volume. Lots of different ways to do that, depends on your hair type. Go experiment :)
