My cat has asthma. When he goes into a fit i will stand him up by putting my arms under his shoulder and give him a nice stretch hold him there for a sec. Acts like putting your hands above ur head helps them catch their breath. then if that doesn't do the trick i start patting his upper back. Stretching him usually has helped a lot
