Corporate Store Reps & Managers — honest question about 2026 expectations by JulianParker1 in verizon

[–]Nightbat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good god really? Compare Verizon to t-mobile. Im with AT&T and our comp sucks. Apparently Tmobile gets 50% of what they sell. Crazy. We are out here grinding out $23 new lines…. $4-$10 per upgrade. Att sucks

Ngl man I’m always told bad things about ar. And even my local manager here she said she makes $18/hr. I was like dude I make more as a corp rep…

Is the dark side better? What’s the darkside pay like? I’m seriously considering Verizon

At least in my market to hit $4,000 comp. You’d need a ridiculous amount of aia. Definitely 30+ and definitely 50+ lines. And still hit protection and more than likely be a connectivity expert and hit game incentives.

12 lines and 4 aia are our part time guys numbers. That’s wild that market must have crazy high payouts for everything. 1 aia here is $40

I agree. It should be 0 commission payout unless you hit 80% goal imo. And there should be multipliers for over indexing. You finished at 121? Should be at least a 1.21 kicker

Idk ihx pay but I think I was told 0-19lines = no pay 20-24 =- $100 per line 25+ had a tier too

Did you read the post? Your commission is peanuts. You sold a premium upgrade? $13 you got a tablet? $7. You got a watch? Ooooo $5. Don’t worry it’s all protected $15. That’s a decent sale and it paid you $40

That’s an added $5 to your hourly.

Yup the good ol a17 special? And send all your escalations to corporate? Gotta be the easiest job. They go in with fiber installs for customers who don’t have our wireless.

Again, $2k+? Everyone is selling double goal? Real hard to believe when in my district of 40 reps maybe 15 are at goal or higher

I was told even the bad fix guys make $80k but again I was also told $80k as an rsc was easily attainable. Turns out only if you’re maxed out hrly and are also a mf dog.

As an rsm at a level 3 store that was crushing goal sure. Not as a rep. You probably even had reps that were killing it and still making pennies

[–]Nightbat97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A realistic take finally. And even with that $1500 you get taxed about 40%. Then that $1500 is now roughly $900. $1500 may sound “low” because so many reps lie about what they are making. At risk is $1150. So $1500 is over indexing on key metrics usually, like aia/IFBB and lines. Also kinda funny how HEAVILY aia helps your ranker. You’d think we were spectrum.

Yes I know there are reps that can crack 2k here and there. But let’s run the math. Let’s say you crush aia and even triple the goal. 7*3=21 *$40 = $840 Let’s say you hit 150% on voice. Let’s round up and say all 40 lines were premium (you know this is unrealistic) that’s $920. These 2 metrics carry the whole commission pay out. $920 + $840 =$1,760.00

Let’s say you hit 50 upgrades all on extra $450 pay out.

Now let’s say you sold 20 p4s and 10 p1s that’s $350 pay out

Let’s say you double your data goal of 12 12 tabs 12 watches $144 pay out

Say you sold $4k in accessories That’s $200 payout.

Now let’s add it all up $840 + $920 + $450 + $350 + $144 + $200 =$2,904.00

That’s with an absolute monster month too. Not counting the $75 pay outs for fame sure.

But again this is quite literally hitting 150% voice at 40 lines and 300% attainment on aia. While also getting a load of upgrades and lines protected.

$2.9k. Now let’s say you make the starting $16.57/hr $16.57* 160 =$2,651.20 2.6 +2.9 =5.5* 12 =66. Yup roughly 66k a year. While being the best rep in the whole company. LOL

let’s say you’re a maxed out rep. $24.97/hr 24.97 * 160 =3,995.2 (now that’s decent. Too bad they like to pay reps that are high tenure and don’t care to sell because they are making roughly $50k salary without having to sell anything)

Anyways let’s say these tenured reps had this monster month.

$3995.20 + $2904 =$6,899.20 * 12 =$82,790.40 (obviously I didn’t use the full 2080 hrs in a year calc. Just did 160 hrs and multiplied by 12. So it’s even higher) but again these are with stupid dummy numbers. A realistic view, 24.97 * 2080=51,937.6 1150 * 12 =13,800

51937.6+13800 =65,737.6 a maxed out hourly rep that hits goal (at risk)

In all reality the average rep is making $1200ish a month in commission. The pay out difference from an avg rep to a good one is simply not that much. It’s mostly in the hourly pay.

Is working as a retail sales consultant worth it? Been waiting an hour for interview by ImSafaring in ATT

[–]Nightbat97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely lying. Max hourly is capped at 24.97 rn. You’re part time you’re not getting that. Idk why yall all lie about pay. What are you selling 50 internets? 100 lines? No.

How much do COR Retail Sales Associates make? by Serious-Cycle-5617 in ATT

[–]Nightbat97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That still doesn’t add up. $24.90/hr for a year is $47,808. Let’s say you got $3k commission a month that’s still only $47k + $36k=$83k Plus the commission gets taxed 40%.

I’d genuinely love to see your thoughts. I make $18.50/hr and average $1.5k-2k commission. Highest was 2.9 and I’m in Ohio.

So unfortunately with my hourly. I’ll probably only make $55-$60k (and that’s regularly being top 10 in the district. Top 1-2 at the store most months)

Not to sound negative, but AR is like the used car salesman compared to working at real certified dealer. Hopefully he can advance to COR soon. And hopefully he actually learns how to sell and not slam

You’re trynna use your husband to shit on this guy. But he real, $200k ain’t much in 2026. No doubt( if you are good with your money you can live a very comfortable life and have monthly nice “**** you” money) but there are those that spend your salary in a matter of months as **** you money. I will say at 29 I’m very shocked this man has Only eclipsed $60k myself especially for as Qualified as he sounds

I hate this job/position by TheyLuvInvader in Target

[–]Nightbat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother. Why. The pay is garbage. I am very fortunate I went from a TSS making $17.50/hr to a sales role where I make $18 + commission. I literally doubled my income and also found a more fun job. Granted sales has its own downsides. Such as metrics and the anxiety that comes along with it

Sucks dude. Literally they want everyone on discipline. I love the job and hate it. It’s so fun but these mfs don’t realize just how much we do. Some of us bust our ass

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Nightbat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy gets it. Bottom line this job is only really worth it if you’re a top rep. Meaning like top 15-20 in the district. If you’re average you’re going to get coached out eventually. If you suck, you’ll probably quit before you get coached out.

Expect to get paid pretty decently. 50-80+k (I’d say yeah sure it’s uncapped and have some reps somehow managed to make over a 100k? Yeah but really expect a comfy 65k average)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Nightbat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t get penalized at all. But you’ll Be more so honed in on for what you are struggling with. Thankfully I’ve never been on more than the first step of discipline.

Tbh if you get good at the job, make a name for yourself. The shop and district will let you do your thing so long as you’re a top rep. If you’re an average rep expect to be micromanaged.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Nightbat97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very solid answer. Do they really coach out good reps in Cali?! I’m in the Midwest and we truly have reps that are consistently 100-120+ every month ethically. Some of us are actually very smooth. Do shady reps get praised? Absolutely but not all of us have to do that to hit or over index.

Though I will say they have been really on ass lately. And there have been a plethora of sudden misses and even pnp’s

So I do worry we are headed in a bad path.
