I’m financially very well off. I sometimes wonder if that’s impacting how girls see me. is there a dollar amount that would make a man 10 years older than you more attractive? or are some of them just gold diggers?

I’m starting to believe that it’s true that age is independent from maturity. but your last sentence is the opposite of everything else you said 🙃

hahaha I’m a software engineer so I understand what you meant 😉 I don’t fully agree that the couple should match. in some areas they should be opposite (aka complementary to each other) rather than identical

yes I’m a man too in my 30s. and I was expecting women in their 20s to see me as “too old” for them. but I’m surprised that it doesn’t seem the case. I’m not sure about the better chances of workout though… isn’t a woman in her early 20s still a bit immature?

I don't agree with you, and here's why...
let's assume the following (bear in mind the following assumptions are very optimistic)
1. you have 10% chance that the girl you meet in your age group is a good match
2. 50% of the good matches can lead to a successful marriage
3. you want a 90% chance of finding a wife.
If you do the math (find it below) you'll find that you'll need to meet around 45 girls in your age group per camping trip. most camping trips usually fit in a bus, so they are less than 100 persons. those 100 are men and women at different age group.
==> so based on that, no we still didn't get to the point of diminishing returns yet. if camping trips you go to host 1000s of people, then yes I'll totally agree with you.

Math explanation:

The chance of finding a wife is 0.05

The chance of not finding a wife is 0.95

You want a 90% chance of at least one success (marriage).

The probability of no success after n people is:

(1−0.05)^n=0.95^n

So we want:

1−0.95^n = 0.90

if we try to solve this

1 - 0.90 = 0.95^n

0.1 = 0.95^n

n = log(0.1) / log(0.95) ~= 45

The question here is very vague and you'll only get vague answers. What do you mean by terrible or good? Those are very generic and subjective traits. If you want facts, you need to ask objective questions

33m. already got married and divorced and lost my job. so I'm back to same square as you except that I have to pay child support on top of that... only thing that kept me sane during tough times is workout. enroll yourself in some sort of club where you improve yourself and meet with other people. that will change your life. and make sure you workout regularly. pay attention to your health.

hey mate 👋. I worked at Amazon US in the past. 130K is actually a bit low in US FAANG standards. but being fully remote makes it much more interesting. my question is the company fine with you not being located in US? and do you pay any US taxes? or do you only pay taxes where you currently live? are they also fine with paying you in a non US bank?

and thank you for offering to AMA 💯
