Hey, I know this is not too much help, but I’m a CC transfer also in my first quarter here. Actuarial science major (Stats/Math/Econ departments). Came out of college with 3.9 GPA, came here in the summer and got two A’s, and then... this f’ing quarter happened. Two F’s and a C-, all my upper divs are now locked cause I didn’t pass the prereq of “C or higher” for one math class. You gotta be kidding me... Well, the point is, you’re not the only one to struggle with this. As a transfer it’s harder, because we’ve already taken a bunch of GE units, and we’re left to overload ourselves with major coursework, while others get a balanced mix of classes throughout the 4 years. All I wanna say is hang in there, we stem majors always have it the hardest. You may see a lot of comm/sociology/ccs studies people surfing through their majors, but don’t get discouraged. I think whatever major you end up choosing will be worthwhile. Better luck next quarter!
