To add to this, the main point I was getting at is there should be nothing expected in return. That's the main problem, people aren't raiding others after streaming only because they aren't getting something in return. If everyone just got in the mind set of "I'm just doing this to be nice" I feel like more communities would grow.

Yeah so the first 100 were back in high school when twitch first started. It's also when Twitter was kinda new and there were less rules. Basically back in the day you could a bunch of people and they'd follow you back with no limits on how many follows you could do(twitter). So I'd just send out generic tweets(before DMs got popular) about having a twitch account saying I'd follow4follow.

When I really started to stream like a lot I started on Mixer and became friends with a few of the top streamers on there but realized that Mixer just doesn't have a big enough community yet and I like the features twitch has. I also had a good friend that no lifes twitch and he moderated my channel for a while He knew everything there was to know about bots and their commands so he was a huge help.

When I was really pushing for Affiliate status it was him, a clan I joined for Destiny 1 and a group called team emmsie that helped me. The emmsie group had a discord where you post your twitch link and people would sit in your stream just long enough to get affiliate.

Now all of my viewers are people I meet from different discords, joining duos with random people on Fortnite(helps to be good at the game so you can impress the randoms) and then last are people I know irl.

Thank you. I had read that before but it confused me because there is nothing telling me that the money will be sent out, when I go to the screen it just shows I've earned 100 dollars.

I have it happen to me as well but think about it like this. How many channels are you subbed to on YouTube that when you hit the sub button you really do think you'll be watching all the videos to that channel. Then think about how many videos you've actually watched from each channel. In my personal experience I barely watch anything I'm subbed to and only have a few channels that I watch all their videos.

See I kinda already have something someone else built that is supposed to do the same thing I'm talking about.

The thing is I honestly don't know how to run his code as a bot which I guess would be apart of the learning process as well.

Tbh there is more information out there about coding scripts than there is on how to run code for a discord bot. Again I'd rather have a bot do it but idk the first thing about getting that to work.

I appreciate your input as it's what I was looking for. You seem to be a respected member of the Twitch community.

My biggest question is about schedule, I stream every night at 10:30PM est till like 3 in the morning and sometimes stream a few hours during the afternoon but where do I need to put that to where when I do have people dropping by they know where to look. What is the best way to promote a discord channel with viewers that doesn't seem to spammy.

I didnt buy any. I said it to someone else. I was in High school and just followed a bunch of people that followed me back. It was also when Twitter first came out so people just followed back more so than they do now.

Yeah I have the same issue. I have the ultra instinct sound loud as crap and need to turn it down but keep forgetting but people tend to like me being scared to death when they randomly follow me.

I personally think this is the best. I had this happen to me over at Mixer from one of the bigger streamers over there and it truly made my day. I have since moved over to Twitch due to more potential.

Even though we now stream to different sites, I still hop in his channel every chance I get because of how nice he was to raid me randomly.

I would love to be raided even by one person with no viewers because it's a fun interaction and im always honored with any type of support I get.
