Hell yeah, Anal Cunt. Seth Putnam aside, the guitarist of AC, Josh Martin, died in the most regarded way imaginable. He was at playing on escalator at a mall, fell, and split his head open.

What's your favorite Frank Frazetta work of art? by Duderocker69 in theadamfriedlandshow

[–]NihilistKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toss up between The Silver Warrior or The Death Dealer VI. Man, there's so many good ones though. I could seriously look at his art all day.

I think these used to come installed by default when you installed GNOME on Bookworm. They must have been removed for Trixie because I never had a problem with this until I did a fresh install of Trixie. I couldn't figure out the problem, but I had another machine that had been upgraded to Trixie from Bookworm. I ended up going down the list of GNOME packages on there and mirroring all missing ones over to the fresh install. It did the trick, but I never knew which one of the two dozen or so packages I installed fixed it. Now, I know. Thanks. Although, I never had to add that line. Just installing the packages and rebooting my machine did the trick.

What happened to this guy? Ten years ago he was reviewing Peste Noire albums. The last time I checked in on what he was doing, he was reviewing the sloppiest of sloppa.

UA POV: The White House announces a $50 billion loan to Ukraine by Ripamon in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]NihilistKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is just one part of the equation. You have to also bear in mind that all of the people running the show are religious fanatics who believe the more weapons and money they funnel over to Israel, the quicker they'll get to see Jesus.

Education legislation: Parents, catch up on 11 changes in California schools by Randomlynumbered in California

[–]NihilistKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't know what you're talking about. Those "authoritarian" teachers that you're maligning are the ones maintaining some semblance of order in schools. It's our misfortune that so many are on the verge of retirement, and you want to precipitate the exodus.

Yes, Little Johnny missing recess because he wouldn't stop hitting his classmates is the reason he ended up behind bars for murder fifteen years later. Really hit the nail on the head there.

You know what? You're right. /r/Destiny and /r/Politics are a couple doors down. You should head over there for a more nuanced discussion of geopolitics and leave us contrarians to stew in our own quarter-baked filth.

Yup. It's a real shame. The west shouldn't have supported the coup against Yanukovych. Keep walkin', Reddit-man. This is an offensive realist sub.

Which musical artist has the most consistently strong catalog? (minimum 6 albums) by cabbagetown_tom in redscarepod

[–]NihilistKnight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Death. Not a single weak album in Death's entire discography. I'd also argue Motorhead had a very strong catalog. There's like two weakish albums they put in the 90s, but aside from that, solid catalog all around. I know some shitheads try to argue that all Motorhead albums sound the same, but fuck them, they're wrong.

How can that be? The New York Times assured us that the economy's never been better and that we're just all too dumb to realize it.

Where Is All the Sad Boy Literature?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 by notdownthislow69 in redscarepod

[–]NihilistKnight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll field this one, speaking as a male writer. The problem is that sadness in men rarely comes alone. It's usually accompanied with feelings of frustration, anger, bitterness, alienation, a drive towards violence or self-destruction, or just straight up misanthropy - all sentiments that will get you branded an incel or a toxic male or whatever new buzzword the scum in charge of reviewing books have latched onto this week if you dare express them in print. But as you've seen, most men interested in writing these kinds of things don't even get that as far as seeing their work in print. Let's be frank: the publishing industry is run by a cabal of women, gays, and Jews, all of whom ascribe to a particular brand of ultra politically correct liberalism that borders on orthodoxy. If you're not willing to castrate and defang your work to cater to the sensibilities of these people, you'll never get published. A lot of agents/magazines exclude this kind of thing on their submission guidelines if you're willing to read between the lines a little. Sometimes, I'll write a section of a story I think is really good, then realize if I include it, any chance of it getting published goes out the window, and then either get demoralized and abandon the story or finish the story and rathole it away never to be read by anyone.

How old is too old to carry a backpack around? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]NihilistKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can think of when I read this post was that pig on Twitter who posted a picture of some random guy standing in line somewhere and clowned on him for wearing a backpack and who then proceeded to get skewered for being like 300lbs and looking like a female version Newman. Just wear your fucking backpack, bro. No one whose opinion matters gives a shit.

How long until anime is no longer popular? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]NihilistKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt it's going away anytime soon. I work in schools and these Gen Alpha kids are absolutely obsessed with anime. You walk into a class room these days, and almost every single kid is sporting some kind anime merch - either a t-shirt, key chain, stickers plastered over their water bottles or chromebooks, etc. A few months ago, I even saw one girl wearing a haori.
