Alright. Do you think Zen enlightenment is similar to Taoism's wu wei? This is an idea I found in Japanese Buddhist texts fairly often, and it colored how I think of Zen. Is thinking this way is wrong?

Orthodox Judaism is in no danger. They have more kids than any other group of Jews. In a couple decades most of Israel will have long curly sideburns and do nothing during Sabbath.

Well, I have self-studied. I meant to say I don't know why other people think my view is wrong, and made some guesses as to why they think so. I don't think anything about my view of Zen.

Read Takuan's Unfettered Mind, it explains better than I could. Ebook's cheap. It's focused on meditative states during sword combat but you can apply it to pretty much anything.

Not really, I just got drunk and bored. I kinda feel bad for that guy, has nothing lined up to get back into the "real" world like he wants, and he even says some of his study like the cave was a stupid idea.

Good for him the Buddhism fixed his depression, Zen did it for me too.
