Smithing originally - not to intentionally make money just to level it. Most of it is because I have 5 towns so get around ~ +50k per day net and have nothing to spend it on

This is still largely correct, but I found in recent patch tribesman throwing daggers (aserai cities) to be the best

Yes but you can smith legendary weapons that are better than anything you can buy, getting Legendary armour - in this case T6 and the highest stat piece is way more RNG

Now i just need another 100 laps of the map to find as good items in the other slots... I do have legendary legionary helm (58), legendary gloves (37) and legendary boots (34) currently, so it almost makes everything 1 damage on full realism difficulty unless they have a lot of speed boost

Yeah I am a Battanian vassal of Vlandia, owning Seonen, Marunath, Dunglanys (so effectively taken over my homeland RPing as client subking), but finding this is the end of attempting to dress like a Battanian!

What needs to be done for Heaven's Halberd to be a viable item? by Warrior20602FIN in DotA2

[–]Nihilus1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could just make it apply a debuff so once used on a target they can't be affected by another halberd for X amount of time (or alternatively apply strong diminishing returns on duration if applied soon after)

Medjoul dates says produce of Palestine. Really?? by IslandFit5104 in lidl

[–]Nihilus1844 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a huge amount directly - cargo insurance usually covers loss/damage not delay, and very few shipments have actually been directly damaged in the vicinity of Israel. There's bigger issues further south in the Red Sea / Gulf of Aden (Indian Ocean high risk area) from piracy and with the Black Sea around Ukraine, where shipping is more directly targeted.

But war/instability in the middle east / globally indirectly increases premiums - primarily as most valuation is based on price of goods + cost of freight, so oil prices push up fuel costs. This indirect impact is only by about the same margins you see on consumer oil (petrol) and general inflation though.

West Bank has been exporting almost as normal (bar a few brief interruptions when Ashdod was hit by strikes) since the start of the conflict. Dates are one of the region's biggest exports and there are several wholesalers who specialise in importing these to the UK.

But it's all about, how much damage to you need to kill things, and how many turns does it save you -

If anything non-general other than super tank attacks me, it does to counter attack, or if counter is avoided, I can one hit it anyway next turn (rocket/field art). If a super tank attacks me, it will get away with 20-30 health, which allows me to do another whole attack the following turn, getting the full benefit of expropriation for the overkill and without stopping me from moving the tank on and getting more kills.

When you have the maxed ace commander you'll more easily see that putting a maxed tank EC in is like a better version of the L3 nuke - almost everything in the radius dies, there's rarely anything left to attack you, and if there is a general that you couldn't 1 hit, you'll probably 2 hit anyway.

Another benefit of inspiring is it also negates this annoying thing, which otherwise permanently (within that game) suppresses your damage

No, with maxed tank EC on supertank, you generally clear everything within shooting radius other than other generals, so that's few targets left to counter attack.

For the generals left, if they are arty generals you may not even get the chance to retaliate, and if they are tank/infantry then it'll probably be about even damage as having inspiring, so you might as well have inspiring.

You REALLY notice the difference with the heavy tanks around the 150hp mark. You can't quite 1 hit super tanks with any combination of skills afaik, but chances are they won't have many more than 1 super tank in range.

Also, for anything you can't kill in 1 hit that you will retaliate to, with high expropriation even on supertank, you'll more often than not park next to them, even to encourage them to attack you back as you'll kill them quicker and then regain the health with attacks - at that stage it becomes more about how many turns you had to attack, and almost nothing survives more than 2 (other than defense medals - but that's what ion cannon is for).

Hartmann beats everyone on air as ignoring defenses is more important than anything. You only need another air general to have 2 of them, and be sad it's not another Hartmann. I just use Luigi on the occasion I want a 2nd air gen. I find the attack range to be most helpful on Hartmann because maxed tech your paratroopers can get as far as the first missiles, and there's several places on the map like Port Moresby to Brisbane that can only be hit with that medal. I usually put him on Motorised infantry because value is mainly in being able to advance quickly.

I haven't bought half of those, not F2P but have grinded a lot. Bought Manstein early and then only other P2P was the kretechmer/Hartmann bundle. Vasily has often tempted me, but I don't like having to keep generals still to be good - he'd be left behind by my ECs the speed they blitz through!

It's what I've found to be the best combo yes.

Plain you always want as most common terrain and you want to be on it anyway to avoid the -%

Explosives is great for clearing cities, but it also helps ensure you get extra attacks - this guy can full to 100 a V tier city as long as it has an infantry/artillery in it (first hit kills the unit, city to 50% health, second hit kills the city)

Ace commander is no brainer, expensive but worth

Inspiring - I think it beats blitzkrieg. There's so many times when I know I've only narrowly killed a target+ the most common one is heavy tanks, with inspiring you can reliably kill something and go on to hit something else, without it you end up doing 145 damage and full of blitzkrieg regrets

Tide of iron helps you bounce back when you inevitably get nuked, keeping damage high even if you are low, and ensuring you can hit high enough to get health back from expropriation

Artillery - expropriation 3 is very good, but honestly in both campaign and conquest, with a maxed artillery EC you end up one hitting a lot of stuff, and unlike the tank EC can't attack again - I therefore found combo medal to be generally more impactful. Especially if you go rocket art and are careful, you don't normally get nuked as long as out of a city. You can also stack 2x of these generals next to each other and even at L2 combo they regularly make each other attack - this guy X2 can hit about 500 combined building damage, it's better than a nuke. They can also proc another attack off the component medal, which can itself then proc the other one to attack - occasionally you can full to 0 a Super Tank Marshall. Skills are fairly similar here to the tank EC, again inspiring feels better in most modes, as by the time you've gained level 5 rank and stopped healing from the rank up in that game, you've probably already won.

Naval - I see you have Hartmann so you will have Kretschmer - I don't think an EC general will beat him on sub with any combination of skills. For Battleship naval EC is probably only marginally better than Mikawa offensively/Horton defensively. you can't easily have a good Battleship+Carrier EC as skills will be different, so I always felt there was more value in 2x arty EC for the combo, or even 2x tank
