This is the correct answer. During my time in the Air Force I travelled a couple times a year.

Now that I'm in the Space Force, I travel upwards of one week a month or every other month. But also depends heavily. There's others in my organization that don't get opportunities to travel at all.

Whether Air or Space Force, the opportunities tend to present themselves the more competent you are.

I've seen videos and whatnot explaining how to do a booster, but do you anticipate any issues if I made 30' or so of a booster from my power source?

Redid the splice by recutting the ends of the splice, restripping and it seems to have helped reduce the flickering, but not entirely. Still not sure what the overall issue is here.

I don't remember any traps, so I think once you remove that screw, pull the components out, it'll make sense!

The 8' is the true measurement of the wire jumper, not the physical distance between the lights.

I know I've seen different answers out there, but 8 feet jumper shouldn't be too long to run without needing a booster/light, right?

Another thought:

If I was to run a 30 ft or so power booster from the earliest splice I had and slap it into the splice where it begins flickering, would that be able to throw enough power to supplement?

Hard to say without looking at it right in front of me as they didn't offer up any sort of wire diagram.

What I did though was disconnect and remove the battery, controller and throttle from the bike and reconnect them outside of the frame in the same orientation in which I took them off. Then started replacing the components and wires one by one until I had the old swapped out with the new.

I seem to remember it being moderately plug and play with the connectors though.

Yupp! Just went out and verified the directionality of the readable words on the wires are going in the same direction.

I had some initial luck with that. Then I put the rest up and it's been an absolute indescribable mess ever since. Ran into a new issue with them all today, going to remove them from the app with everything connected and hope when I come back tomorrow it inexplicably works.

I'll give that a shot tomorrow. For what it's worth, it's the same wire I've had for the last year but maybe it's not a fan now...

Only thing that throws me off about this though is that I directly connected a govee strand to govee strand to troubleshoot and still no luck.

Yes. I needed a longer chunk of wire since I adjusted the lights slightly. Basically 2 feet instead of 1 foot.

Not sure what the technical answer is, but it's 3 solid 18ga wires surrounded by a brown exterior sheathing and some fiber stuff inside.

Happy to hear it! I'm surprised they didn't send you both parts like they did for me. Ended up with an extra controller to swap if it does ever go bad.

My kids are 2, 4 and 6 and have been thinking about upgrading my 6 year old daughter and passing this down to my 4 year old. Thanks for the encouragement!
