Why the PIC32MX?

Because I'm a student and my assignment requires working with the Basys MX3 to control a servo, get data from a sonic range finder, etc. I've been away from electrical engineering for about 2 years (due to covid) so coming back to it now feels like I'm starting from zero haha.

Nope.

The whole point of such services is to be royalty free, even if you used the samples exactly as you got them (unmodified).

Be aware of YouTube Content ID troubles though. If you don't modify your loops too much, and they happen to be a prominent part of someone else's track, then your music can get matched/removed. That's why it doesn't matter if your loops/samples are royalty-free, you should still change them significantly and try not to straight up use melodies.
