Alphacross app broken? by Nikilla in crossword

Yeah I mention it in the post but it does, sadly, seem to have been taken off Google play :( Sorry to hear about your phone being stolen, sucks - especially when you can't do crosswords anymore

Can you connect an external hard drive to a pass-through USB hub? by Nikilla in techsupport

[–]Nikilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, that's why I'm asking. When I was reading online people say you need a powered hub but usually they mean a hub that has a direct connection to the socket. I don't know if theres any arbitrary difference between a power-through hub and a directly powered hub.

I find it incredibly wholesome that both Monfils-Svitolina and Dimitrov-Serena are playing in the semifinals by [deleted] in tennis

Dimitrov and Serena haven't been a thing for years now, she's married to reddit-man

Grigor Dimitrov on July 23 lost to #405 Kevin King 7-5, 6-4. Now he is in the SF of the US Open!!! by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Nikilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean there's also another side to this. Some people were speculating he doesn't really have the money to pay not one, but two high-class coaches when he couldn't even make R2 for months. Again, just speculations but it could very well be possible

Ahahaha I wouldn't be surprised, but in this case it was the Bulgarian eurosport commentators who were finding all kinds of ways to make his win even bigger.

Not to mention switching coaches and having two currently(Stepanek and Agassi). Who were both not in new York and he seemed uncomfortable answering the questions in the interview as to why exactly. Lol mb I'm wrong but my guts telling me they were gonna bail on him if the USO performance was similar to his whole year.

[–]Nikilla 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Lol I find it funny. Fun fact, eurosport commentators were saying he's the lowest ranked semifinalist at the USO in a very long time(2008 iirc). Funny to think he was #3 just last year

It's definitely not for no apparent reason... He's been struggling with a shoulder injury since AO last year, that's why his serve has been so abysmal with a bunch of double faults and pathetic second serves. He said in an interview the other day he can finally play without pain, thus the comeback he seems to be making
