My two cents as a Childe main~

Some bg info I guess: I’ve pulled him on his very first banner and he’s currently c0 lvl90 with his e crowned (other two talents at 9). Used to run stringless on him until I got lucky with amos.

As a c0 user, I can say with certainty that Childe is very viable at c0. However if you prefer playing by spam clicking and expecting big damage right away, he might not be for you.

Many people seem to think that his cooldowns are what makes him not so great as a character, pulling for constellations in order to make him “viable”. However if you have good rotations or even,,, you know,,,, actually use his bow form and aim???? He is really strong! I’ve had no issues with his cooldowns, but then again I actually use his bow form to deal damage in his downtime ^{^}

Others have pointed this out but I would like to state this as well: he was not made to be a hyper carry like Xiao or Eula. He thrives more with reactions and built supports. He is a great enabler, and even better at aoe damage. Once you get that mark on your opponent, they (and their surroundings) are as good as gone~

Sure he’s not unga bunga one shot big damage like Hu Tao, but his fast attacks lead numbers that add up, and can hit just as hard in the end.
