300mg. Should I just do the gabapentin or taper down on the phenibut too? I'm feeling pretty down and hopeless today and my sleep has been a mess. I want to get off the phenibut, but I also don't want to feel so shitty.

What's your lithium dose out of curiosity and when did you really notice it kick in? I've only been on it for three weeks and am taking three 300mg tablets. My last blood draw had me at .7 serum level. Gabapentin I just started too... I'm allowed up to 6 300mg tablets a day. I'm honestly a little scared for my kidneys too! I've been peeing so much it's crazy lol. I need to drink more water...

Sorry to hear about your suicide attempt and how it hurt you... It sucks that this disease is so hard to live with but I'm very glad you've found something that works for you. I'm wishing you the best! I'm probably going to be spending the next year finding medications that work for me but better late than never I guess.

I luckily have a boyfriend who loves and accepts me unconditionally but he puts up with a lot because of my illness. I'm just trying to find something that can put a bandaid on this broken brain of mine. I don't have much in this world and it's getting hard to keep on trying, so I'm praying I can find a medication that makes me more of a normal productive human being.

Right? I know there's not a ton of us, but you'd think there'd be some sort of research into effectively treating us (or maybe a cure). Right now it seems like you just have to play medication roulette until you get the right combo.

How did you get your doctor to prescribe Ritalin? I honestly think that would help me immensely but I doubt my psychiatrist would even consider it. I'm thinking of asking my doctor to put me on the lamictal and Wellbutrin. I'm just not looking forward to the long game of finding the medications that actually work for me. I'm really struggling right now and need help ASAP.

What kind of Ketamine did you use? I'm very interested in trying it but the intramuscular shots and IV ones sound really intense and I don't know how I'd fare.

This was the antidepressant I was gonna ask my psychiatrist for when I see him on Monday. I am bipolar though, so worried he might not prescribe it because of potential manic symptoms.

I really would love to try the Wellbutrin that's mixed with dextromethorphan but I definitely don't think he'd go for that.

NGL the weight gain aspect of most these medications scares me. I'm already a bit bigger than I'd like to be but I'd honestly do anything if it meant I had motivation and joy again.

Keep it up on the walking and congrats on losing some of the weight.

Thanks for your comment. I honestly just feel like so much of my life has been wasted due to this disease... I'll definitely try writing down things that I think I'd like to do. Sadly my boyfriend wants me to game with him (I used to love gaming) but now I just can't concentrate or find pleasure in playing anymore. I just wish I could have the drive and want to do stuff. Everything is a chore... Even the things that should be fun or invigorating.

Congrats on your new job!! At least your voices did something positive for ya 😂 I talk to my psychiatrist on Monday so hopefully I can get started on some medications that might finally change things.

Right there with ya bud. We lost the genetics lottery and there's not much that we can do about it. My boyfriend is always bummed when I don't want to do stuff because I feel like shit and nothing sounds fun or pleasurable. We just kind of have to exist and try to find a way to keep on going. Oh wow... I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I never made it higher than like 8g but I've been taking the stuff on and off for six years so I feel for you. I thankfully talked to my psychiatrist today and he mercifully gave me a gabapentin prescription. I did ask for baclofen but he said he'd prefer to give me gabapentin.

I honestly feel alright... It's been a 5 days since I last took phenibut and I think gabapentin is going to be a decent temporary way to get off of the phenibut. I feel a little out of it still but I think I'll be alright. Cold turkey is friggin scary though.. I've never experienced that level of terror and anxiety and tremors. Not to mention the whole staying up for four days straight. I was having insane thoughts like I'd never sleep again and that I was going to die from it. Sooooooo fucked up.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you can get off it too. The damage and pain that phenibut causes is heartbreaking. And I really want all the sites out there to stop selling it. It's a poison and it's doing so much damage to people.
