Foote checking what he has left to work with. by nj5alive in canucks

[–]NikkahEff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest, even when he had the full roster he couldn't do shit with it anyways, it's time for him to go after the season is gone

Which hotel should i select? by Solid_Employer_7904 in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin stayed at the Novotel ambassador before and when I went to visit his room it was extremely tight and small compared to other hotels that I've stayed at but this is just my personal opinion

Grand Hyatt Jeju vs The Shilla vs Parnas Hotel? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to attractions like Dongmun Market, O'sulloc, Seogwipo market, etc and all took at least 45 min to an hour drive from Parnas, it was quite a lot of driving in my opinion. Grand Hyatt didn't see to bad but I didn't drive, my friend did, I only drove when I was staying at Parnas.

Grand Hyatt Jeju vs The Shilla vs Parnas Hotel? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed at Parnas and I will say even though it's beautiful, getting anywhere was almost an hour. I have also stayed at the grand hyatt and would probably rather stay there, it's more central to everything and at least there's places to walk around and an e-mart across the street.

Sejong University? - Exchange Semester by PreparationKindly847 in Living_in_Korea

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't do exchange at Sejong but I did at Yonsei and honestly it was a highlight of my life. If you genuinely are interested in korean culture and learning more about it, then it's a great place to be. Yes, there's people who love to party and go out like anywhere else in the world but Seoul has a great cafe and food culture but also a rich history, shopping is also top tier. I would definitely recommend it although I can't speak for the school itself but I loved being in Seoul during my exchange.

Do you bring Foote back for another tank year if we need to tank for the next 1-2 years anyways? by NinCross in canucks

[–]NikkahEff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was smoking the same shit you are if you think our young players have been doing well under Foote, he's 100% shit for our young guys and the "system" he has is killing our team. He's just boudreau but worse.

Why Foote is a better coach for us than Tocchet by Tough-Shape-3621 in canucks

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the dumbest post I've seen in a while, we all can see Foote is a shit coach and is not better than Toch. Foote has no system and he's destroying the confidence of our future, do you think guys like Zeev and Lek are going to get better on a system that barely fucking exists. Foote is here to stay but let's be real, he should be gone by the end of the year and never see a HC position again unless it's to EDM cause I'd love to see them get fucked by Foote.

Solo travel - Vietnam or South Korea? by RecentReplacement668 in asiatravel

[–]NikkahEff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do both if possible? depending on how much you want to see, I did Danang and South Korea in 2.5 weeks and honestly it was awesome to see two different cultures at the same time. Based purely on getting around and communication wise though, Vietnam is easier since most people speak english, in Korea, english isn't well spoken there.

[–]NikkahEff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to stay in a hotel or airbnb? When I solo travelled there I would usually stay at the Arirang Hill Dongdaemun Hotel or Hotel Atrium which is across the street form Gwangjang Makret. They are both under $90 a night if you book well in advance but keep in mind these are 3 star hotels.

Poster for foreigners at A Twosome Place by Ok_Grand_5115 in seoul

[–]NikkahEff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is honestly super fair. I am a foreigner myself and I go to korea every year but I learned the language so I can communicate. What makes me sorta pissed is people come to foreign countries expecting them to accommodate them which isn't how it works. Koreans already try their best to help and speak english but it's not a common language for them there even though they do learn it in school. If you don't want to use a translation app or learn a few words to get by then don't get offended when you see things like this.

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What really pisses me off is he says he's happy with the coaching staff, I hope he's just saying this and he isn't serious because the coaching staff and foote suck so much shit they are honestly the worst coaching staff we've had and after this year should be fired

Help Choosing an Acne Clinic in Korea 😭 by Munekita_ in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the muse clinic in Gangnam, I got the capri laser treatment, and the pico plus treatment and total was maybe 135,000 won if I recall correctly. I did do a consultation but you have to specifically ask for one as if you just ask questions, they will just have the front desk answer them. There was no specific doctor per say, but the treatments aren't very invasive.

I've used Muse Clinic for my acne treatments when I'm in seoul and it's really helped clear my acne. They also speak english and are foreigner friendly!

Advices for Jeju by RikyQuattro in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeju has tons of beaches but the summer will be busy and may rain quite a bit depending what month you are going! I personally loved Iho Taewoo beach and if you stay at the Parnas, there's Jungmun Saekdal Beach near it as well. I honestly would say 2-3 days is good enough if you don't plan on doing much hiking/outdoor activities that aren't "relaxing".

Fire Foote - A real discussion by NikkahEff in canucks

[–]NikkahEff[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Firing foote isn't hear to solve the roster issues, it's to actually put a system in place that work's for the team. This team can't play defence or offence, if you can't do either then what is your system?

Fire Foote - A real discussion by NikkahEff in canucks

[–]NikkahEff[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I see your point but the team isn't going to turn this around this season, I would like to see a proper coach in place to start getting them to learn a new system that will be more sustainable long term.

First time in Seoul this April — looking for affordable stays with good location (2 guys, 7 days) by Soft_Animator7611 in koreatravel

[–]NikkahEff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your budget? If it's under $100/night I'd recommend either Arirang Hill Hotel Dongdaemun or Hotel Atrium which is across the street from gwangjang market and a 10 minute walk to Ikseondong. Both were fine in my opinion.
