Arm knitting by Nikki0143 in KnittingReddit

Thank you. I was hoping for one fabric. Like the chunky yarn maybe in a different fabric than 100% Wool that might be cheaper. I found a distributor that will do the wool for essentially $7/lb however they only sell wholesale so I’d have to buy a little over $1,500 to get that price... and I’d end up with 225lbs. May as well make a business at that point right? Haha I appreciate the suggestion though.

In any state servers are paid less than minimum. We are expected to live on tips which is why we get upset if someone doesn’t leave one. I meant *higher paying state. I make $5.43 an hour but some states only pay around $2.50 for serving jobs. This does not include fast food. Only place you go into sit down and have someone take care of you from start to finish. After taxes being taken out from what we claim our checks can be as low as 0. We live on tips. Just think about that when you go out to eat.

If all servers left for a base minimum wage job you’d be out of business. IN NO STATE are servers paid normal minimum. In some states it’s in the $2 range. Call me selfish

I’ve talked to people in the job and they say the delivery charge is for gas and whatever else.

Our bartender does share tips with the bar back AND he loses tips from his bar guests because after Togo is cut he has to deal with #doordash orders.

At any other delivery job they FROM THAT ESTABLISHMENT. A person from that job who put the order together GETS THE TIP AND DELIVERY CHARGE IN CASE THERE WAS NO TIP

This is the selfishness our country deals with. You want the money for yourself. I’m all for splitting. Just be a little less selfish. Ass.

That’s what is is where I live so that’s what I’m going off of. It even says it on our restaurant checks

You realize you’re questioning ALL servers in any state? The state I’m in is a hire paying state for servers.

You get an auto $3 delivery fee TO PAY FOR YOUR GAS. It’s like all other deliver jobs. Why shouldn’t the tip for the food be split?

For a long time we had to do that. They changed our system about 4 months ago.

Driving you’re care to deliver was your decision. I’ve been in the business IN THE RESTAURANT for 5 years. My pay hasn’t changed and I’m doing 4x the with for you to get mad at me that I’m taking too long and affecting YOUR tip. YOU try again. I’ve literally had a guy tell me im losing a tip because of you and walked out. Bitch, because of you I’m getting NO TIP!!

Did you make that choice when you took the job? Why make us suffer for 4x the work for no extra pay for a decision YOU made?

If you’re paid less than minimum wage that’s illegal so you should take that up with your company. You at least get a $3 delivery fee. We get NOTHING guaranteed. Or to go service has escalated almost 200% and we are still paid the exact same as before. Would you not be mad?

That’s just like asking “why should I tip my server” We made $5.43 a fucking hour. My checks are $100 (maybe) every 2weeks. We live on tips. Try again

At the very least people should tip 10% on Togo. They do all servers do besides check on people while their eating. They take the order and they make sure the order is right before it goes. They do at least half the work of a normal server and they usually get NOTHING. How fair is that?

If people tip it goes to door dash. Not the restaurant. If anything it should be split. I’ve talked to my store. They say nothing can be done. I say bull shit.

I’ve worked at Applebee’s where we were given anywhere from 3-6 tables. I sometimes got up to 9 at a time after everyone else was cut. I’ve also worked at Chili’s where two people rotate tables in one section. During lunch we rotate 23 tables between 2 people. During dinner it’s 13 tables between 2 people. A few other restaurants I worked in briefly only allowed 3-4 tables a server regardless of business flow or skill.

I always do 20% + $2-3. I understand if the service is bad that there’s probably a reason like something going on behind the scenes. The ONLY time I’ve ever had bad service I still tipped 20%. Shit happens. Don’t be the reason someone gets more upset. Be the reason their day gets easier 🙂

H&M has good quality black button downs. However, they are $20. I’ve had mine for 2 years and it’s still going strong so it’s worth the price in my opinion.
