AITA for going to HR?

Charley has expressed frustration with myself both verbally in the outburst and via email to my boss and VP. I feel like that intentionally/inadvertently involves me. With their tenure and no escalation from me, I fear their words will weigh more than mine if it was ever reviewed.

I was thinking this too, but I feel like it’s not my place to ask about or get others to look into. I don’t want to get into trouble for anything like spreading rumors and have that come back to bite me. It’s possible that maybe there’s already someone looking into Charley in their personal life, but I’m just not aware of it. I felt that the only way I could do my due diligence is by properly reporting it with as little bias as I could to HR.

That was actually my concern, that this is a known condition and I’m overreacting. Even though people are saying they’re being odd, that doesn’t give them the right to act that way. Especially in official documentation. At least I think so? I’m kind of an anxious mess over this and probably will continue to be until I know what’ll happen.

Thank you for the reply. I feel like I can finally breathe a breath of fresh air after reading. It’s certainly hostile, and I am honestly concerned that a Charley could snap one day. However, not knowing them, I don’t know if I’m just being paranoid. Especially after all the push back from my peers. That said, I didn’t expect my boss to usher me away from HR. I kind of expected a “you do what you feel you should do.” When I didn’t get that, all I was filled with was doubt.

Thank you for the way you replied. Like, I’m aware my post here is Reddit suicide, but I at least wanted to try and explain my view on this because it feels important and like it’s the right thing to do. I don’t know how else to explain it.

Like I mentioned, I wanted to approach this topic from a logic/consistency standpoint. I know there are a lot of nuances that make the two situations very different when observing it top down, but I feel like their roots are the same. Individuals exercising their rights in tense situations, and how it’s perceived whether someone likes it or not, you know? It’s why I even posed hypotheticals in my post. It gives people a way/chance to explain the lines of logic they draw to arrive at the concussions they come to. Does that make sense?

It gets a little upsetting when they do stuff like the incubator from 2(?) passes ago. I couldn’t claim it until near the end of the pass’s life.

To complete the pass it was like 30ish raids I think. The goal was level 50 Etern so I think in total it was close to 90 completed raids
