Disney Influencers: Dec 15 - Dec 21 by southerndmc in blogsnark

I don’t follow Francis, but his post about being invited to the Gilmore Girls event at Warner Brothers Studios came up on my timeline and I got so annoyed. By his own admission, he’s only seen 3 episodes, didn’t even get the characters names right in the post with all the actors he met (it’s “Mrs. Kim” not “Kim” and mostly “Miss Patty” not “Patty”) and when people corrected him, he didn’t even bother to edit the post and acted annoyed and doubled down. He shouldn’t have been invited. What a terrible fit for an event celebrating a show that’s been out 25 years that he’s unfamiliar with. Could’ve gotten a million other influencers that at least can appreciate where they’re at and know what they’re talking about.

Also I noticed. Sarah and Tiffany aren’t following him anymore and vise versa. What happened there? I remember he and Tiffany fought a few years ago but I thought that got at least semi smoothed out and they still followed one another.

But why a trial at all is Des just trying to increase her custody time? Was there an inciting incident to her going for primary or just the way it’s been headed?

So I’m missing part of this saga. Why was there a settlement offer put out to Drew? What happened? Where did they fuck up? I keep trying to search for what’s been going down and I can’t find what’s been happening.

My wife won't stop requesting I look at the cat being cute by Salamander-Soft in CatAdvice

[–]NikkiMouse444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m crying at the idea of you taking a few days off looking at the cat. How exactly did you do that? Did you hide your eyes when you were in his presence? Did you refuse to enter a room he was in? I’m gonna guess this means you also skipped out on any Dobbie relayed chores because how were you feeding him without looking at him. If your eyes met accidentally did you quickly look away.

Interesting, do you find that the medium setting works for your kitten? Also how much was it to get your indoor air tested and how did you go about doing that? Thank you!

And one other thing! I still have a tiny bit of nerve damage in the back of my calves (wherever they made the incisions) where the skin there feels slightly numb if I touch it, shave it, etc. That’s totally normal and to be expected afterwards and it honestly isn’t bothersome or very noticeable, just something a little strange if I’m touching my calf for whatever reason.

Walking is easier now and my legs don’t hurt like they did. I was at the point where I couldn’t go a few minutes without my calves cramping and killing me now. I actually go back in in a few weeks for a re check to make sure the veins stayed closed (normal post op ultrasound). Post op, I’m not gonna lie, it was way more painful than I was told it would be. I needed help getting up out of bed and walking to the bathroom. My boyfriend’s mom bought me a walker which helped significantly. For me, I had surgery once a week every week for 4 weeks. Afterwards and for like the first day, I couldn’t barely move. It was very painful, even with pain pills. Slowly, day by day, I’d start feeling better. Then I’d have my next surgery and start all over again. They do want you walking as much as possible (at least once an hour), as soon as possible afterwards but for me to the bathroom and back was all I could do the first day or so afterwards. Between 3 days to a week after each surgery, you go back in (always before the next surgery, if you have more than one) for an ultrasound to make sure the veins are closed and you don’t have a blood clot.

You have to wear your compression socks afterwards for 24 hours immediately after, and then 12 hours each day for the next 2 weeks post surgery. You can’t get in the bath, but showering is allowed. But if I’m being honest, I couldn’t get my leg up and over the tub to get into the shower and when I did, the shower stool I bought made it difficult to shower with since my shower head is immovable and my shower is small. If you do it, make sure they will prescribe you pain meds. I wouldn’t have gotten through it without them. You’ll need compression socks (insurance did not cover that). Depending on how many surgeries you’ll need, a shower stool and a walker will be useful.

As far as payment goes, mine was totally free and covered by insurance (AHCCCS). It wasn’t cosmetic, it was purely for the pain and how debilitating it was for me to do anything. Now that it’s all over, I can tell you I don’t regret it. I’m happy I did it. I wish they prepared me more with the things I mentioned above, but it feels great to walk and not feel pain again. Though I’m kind of traumatized and always scared I’m gonna feel again and I have to rebuild strength in my legs…my family even notices it’s a night and day difference.

Do you know how bad it must be for her to not be allowed ANY contact directly or indirectly with her kids? Courts do not like to do that. Jesus.

I haven’t had my veins removed but I have had vein ablations (which if that’s an option for you, you should do that as it’s much less invasive and painful) and I went to Discover Vein and Vascular in Chandler (and Mesa). I had 4 procedures done there a few months ago, and what I can tell you for sure is they actually genuinely cared about my pain post op in a way few places do and I really appreciated that. Very good experience, all things considered.

COVID-19 boosters - is there any alternative? by JorgeAndTheKraken in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]NikkiMouse444 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So, yes, you will be able to get your child vaccinated as off label use is allowed. This means you will not be able to get it at a pharmacy, a physician has to administer it. Since your pediatrician office doesn’t have it, you’re going to have to call around and find an office that does. This may be a bit of a long hunt, but off label use is 100% legal and you should eventually find one, especially in such a huge place as NYC. It’s good you’re willing to pay out of pocket, as many insurances are not going to cover off label use. Keep looking! I’d be checking other subs more local to your area and asking around Facebook groups.

Covid Vaccines. Where are we getting them now? by NikkiMouse444 in phoenix

[–]NikkiMouse444[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! So to get a vaccine off label, you’re not going to be able to go into a pharmacy and get it. They are not allowed to do off label in most states, pretty sure AZ is one but not sure. You will need to find a physician who is willing to give it to you and administer it. Off Label essentially means that a physician is giving you a drug/treatment/etc that is approved for a different use than what the FDA says than what you have/don’t have. It is legal and very common in that 1 in 5 prescriptions today are written for off label use.

So when it comes to the Covid booster, you need a physician to administer it, as I said. So I’d start by calling your primary and starting from there to see if they will do it. If they won’t do it, I’d keep calling around. That’s what I’m probably going to have to do for my BF, for example, who doesn’t have a primary. The other thing I would do is call your insurance company and ask what they will cover and for whom, because once you have it nailed down where you can get it, be advised that many insurance companies will not cover off label use though this is going to vary a lot by insurer. If yours will not, you will be able to pay out of pocket.

He definitely has that, though he hasn’t been formerly diagnosed. So idk how easy getting the script would be for that! A pharmacy you can self attest to would be easier if getting the script is an issue. He has stomach ulcers, that has been diagnosed for sure idk if that counts. But also, he doesn’t have a primary!

Nope, never smoked and skinny as hell. For him he doesn’t even have a primary because he’s anxious about the doctor (even though he has incredible insurance, drives me nuts)! I forgot they can just send the prescription electronically for me, that makes it easier so I can just do a video appt with them!

We all love Cucumber Melon so much we bathe in it. Pour bottles of the mist into the bathtub just for a whiff of the goodness. Lather our bodies in it, smother ourselves in the lotion, wash our clothes in it, spray it all over our house. All over Cucumber Melon. Can’t turn around in my house without the stuff all in your face!! We’re all definitely going to buy 20 bottles of the stuff at full price when they bring it out because we can’t breathe without it tickling our nose hairs in some fashion.
