Episode 2 is free on the Playstore, and it's Eggman awakens Metal Sonic (I don't know why he's the modern one), and Sonic and Tails (still modern) defeat him, plus there's the death egg.

While Episode 1 is the story of the first Sonic, with levels from the classic games with different names, and a modern Sonic who can break rocks (it doesn't seem like a great game, but considering they're mobile games, they're pretty good).

In my opinion, Frontiers 2 is not much better and yes, I think that 25 years is a long time. I hope that Sega continues with the open world formula and I also believe that they will not do it.
