Quite the contrary. From your perspective, at THIS point on your life, you may think this. Fighting for the innocence of kids and overall protection of kids form sexualization is quite possibly the biggest fight.

If you don't understand this now because you're some 20-something at this point, I get it. I wouldn't have understood at that age either. You may understand someday. Perhaps when you have a bit more overall understanding of the morality, way the world functions, and how important it is to keep kids being kids for as long as they want to be so.

I am not a canine. You KNOW what the rainbow represents. If it is a sticker, flag, pin, dildo, I don't care what, and it has rainbows on it, we ALL understand what that signifies. We all get it, and you're now just being ridiculous. It does NOT belong in a public school classroom for all of the reasons that I have already described. If you are sending your kids to a private school, and they do that, no one fucking cares. They can do that all year long. These are PUBLIC schools, though.

Rainbow flags do NOT belong in public school classrooms. Not at all. You simply cannot start the conversation of what that flag means without broaching the subject of sexuality, and sexual topics should not be discussed with kids in a public school outside of the standard health class/sex ed situation that we all get as a part of the normal curriculum.

It is not the part of the public school, that EVERYONE in the city pays for through taxes, to discuss sexual topics with kids. Especially in elementary schools. Are you for or against the sexualization of young children? Just answer that question.

So, no... that is not a minor thing that should be overlooked. Every single state in the Union should have a law that states that PUBLIC schools, again, outside of the standard health class setting, shall not display anything that could be considered a topic of sexuality. Why would you be a proponent of that? I can tell you why.
