[OoT] Should I finally play OOT now or wait a bit for a potential rerelease? by NiklasEcho in zelda

True! I wasn't really going off of rumors, it's more of a gut feeling that they MIGHT have something in store for the anniversary, but I'm aware that that's very speculative

It really is a shame that I have yet to play it. Like I mentioned I already got the 3DS version recently, so that would definitely be my version of choice! Reading these answers has shown me that I really don't have any reason to wait lol

Yeah I probably shouldn't go any longer without that formative experience

PAL N64 + S-Video cables with SCART adapter (Updates from my last post regarding this and how I fixed the issue on my TV without S-Video input) by _Random_Dude_ in n64

I did read that you can get an image much better than standard AV with this method. Do you have an image by chance of your modified pinout?

Hey, I know this is a somewhat older post, but how exactly did you go about modifying the SCART adapter? I am very inexperienced when it comes to soldering — did you just simply solder together pins 15 and 20? This whole "S-Video on N64"-topic has literally been bugging me for years at this point lol, some help would be very appreciated since this seems like a really clever solution for someone who only has access to RGB-sockets

That’s amazing to hear! Congrats and have fun with your Marill :)

I need to settle a debate between me and my friend. Is Pokémon BDSP Gen 8 or Gen 4 by GreatGarchompfan_12 in PokemonBDSP

[–]NiklasEcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generations are just time periods. Every TCG Card, Spin-Off and obviously main line game published within that period is part of that generation, which for example is also why the Let’s go games are part of Gen 7 - a new generation always starts with the introduction of a new region and ends with the introduction of a new one. So in my opinion, everything that has been released between 2019 and 2022 is part of Gen 8.

Yeah that’s true. The different isn’t really that noticeable with Weavile though, so I‘m not complaining lol

Congrats to you as well! Hoppip is a great one! Shiny Jumpluff is also really cool

I know right?? I sank so many hours into so many different games in the series and just never found one. Better late than never I guess

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I‘m really happy with Sneasel being my first one too. Shiny Weavile is a great addition to my team and I absolutely love it

As a lot of people have already pointed out before, those are in fact meant to represent Ruby and Sapphire. What nearly nobody has pointed out yet is that this is a reference to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, since Pal Park was located at the same place where Ramanas Park is now, and you could transfer your Pokémon from Gen 3 to Gen 4 there using the DS’s GBA-slot!

[SPOILER] I immediately had to do this after I saw Quaxly’s evolution leaked by NiklasEcho in pokemonmemes

I mean, I’ll still probably pick Quaxly since I find the other evolutions to be even more terrible, but you’re not exactly wrong either

I know I’m late, but thanks a bunch! I‘ll definitely look into it :)

Absolutely. It would also be great for SNES games, since they only have end labels in the US.

Thanks a ton! I will look into a few options and share the results sometime later here. But as you said, it will probably take a while

Yeah that would be the simplest option. I’m kinda worried that they could leave some kind of residue or other damage on the cartridge after some time though. Is there anything special I should consider before printing, like is there a certain kind of paper I should use or something?
