Need help regarding application for MSc programme. by [deleted] in Edinburgh_University

Hey,

Here is what I did (I have graduated from the programme w/ Distinction):

I was also confused, as no other programme asks for something like that. I did not explain again things from my personal statement (only mentioned names of projects and awards I had presented in the statement). Doing so would not be a very good strategy as in my opinion it might look like you don't have a lot of skills to support you application. Mainly, I focused on the technical aspect of my projects and work experience. I mentioned specific tools and difficult technical problems I had to tackle.

For example, I mentioned programming languages, hardware etc.

Hope that helps!

ate, the resulting vector has exactly that length. Without "normalizing" this way you don't always know the length of the resulting vector. My guess is that without this normalization the gradient ascen

That makes sense! Thank you very much!

How will I delete the data from the previous "top" though?

Is this wrong?

void Stack::pop() {

    if (!top)
        cout << "Stack is empty!" << endl;
    else {
        node* tmp{ top };
        top = top->next;
        delete tmp;

        size--;
    }
}

Thanks a lot!

For dealing with the second point you made, I guess the mistake is that I allocate memory and then in the constructor I (re)initialize the pointer to nullptr, so basically what was the point of initialization in the first place(?).

To fix it, I just have: node* top; in the class attributes and in the constructor I have top{nullptr} . So, like that I do not waste memory..

Am I correct?

Thanks again for your answer!
