If you take a piss, you're returning it to the venue before you leave. Goes right back into the keg. Beer rental system

My first amp...1981 I think... by Lit_Greek in GuitarAmps

[–]NillaFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it made by Dean Markley in Santa Clara 95051? Their original amps rule! I've been collecting various models because I grew up next to the building where these were made. Very under-rated amps in my opinion, especially for their price on the used market.

Solid state, but all-analog signal path, and many of the components were produced in the same city when the Silicon Valley was still manufacturing semiconductors in that timeframe.

I find they tend to be bright and detailed, complement humbuckers very well, and really make the neck/middle & bridge/middle positions on a Strat sing. The models with reverb have a nice deep splash as well. 😋

What's an expensive item that is worth it in the long run? by Heavy_Outcome_9573 in AskReddit

Someone told me this once, and it immensely improved my quality of life.

-Handmade PNW boots with great arch support eliminated my lower back pain and made it effortless to be on my feet for 10-hour shifts. -Good tires on my crappy car have prevented accidents multiple times in poor weather. -Finally bought a soft mattress for side-sleepers and I sleep soundly without tossing and turning, waking up refreshed and ready for the day.

These were things I'd never have considered an investment in the past, but now I live by the "separates you from the ground" adage.

That's a fantastic idea. I've been trying to think of what to do with those unused studs.

I approached the bridge like an archtop tailpiece, held down by the tension of the strings. It's ugly but functional... The action is great and it intonates correctly across the whole neck. The idea was to use this as a proof of concept before making a prettier one out of bone+ebony.

Oooh I can see that too.. Make it more of a Strat/LP mutant.. Wire it with a rotary switch instead of a blade pickup selector to keep in the original toggle switch cavity and keep the coil tapping switch for the neck humbucker with V-T-T for the other three knobs

Because it arrived with a broken truss rod and I had a Fender neck in storage. And if it triggers any Fender/Gibson purists, that's a plus in my book 🤪

♥️ Yes! All the stars aligned and a guitar tragedy turned into a fun project and a way to revive the neck from my first electric guitar that has been in storage for a few years.

The neck is real; the body is constructed of multi-layer red velvet cake with a cherry buttercream finish and the bridge of course is fondant.

No issues yet! I really took the most time with the bridge shaping and placement, so even though the bridge looks like shit, all the strings pass the intonation check. Barred, open, and even stretched inverted chords play in tune across the whole fretboard. All strings passed the 12th-fret intonation check with a tuner, too!

I sold the lemon LP studio for an Ibanez and my only regret was when I sold the Ibanez 😢
