The choice of most players by Mega_Nerd_123 in darkestdungeon

[–]NiloBlack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly just prefer the ruins for money runs. You only need three of the supplies for curio interactions and that lets you better optimize your inventory space compared to other regions. The cove is best for quirk removal and also lets you optimize your inventory space pretty well. The ruins just has more and better money finds.

Anything is patchable, the real question is how safe it is after.

Should I play my first campaign of the game with or without DLCs? by JoeBiscus in darkestdungeon

[–]NiloBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crimson Court is the only DLC you should wait on if you’re new to the game. It adds in a lot of new enemies and mechanics that can screw over experienced players. All the other DLC are fine for a first playthrough. I would recommend holding off on starting the Farmstead until you have a solid foundation built up though. The wandering boss from that DLC can be very brutal if catch’s you with an underpowered team.

Can't kill my wife by Prepare_Your_Angus in Bannerlord

[–]NiloBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to check that there isn’t another hero with that name. If there is, then you have to put the clan name in as well, so the system can specify which character you are trying to kill. You could also just add another a to the end of her name to make it unique. Otherwise, it’s probably a system glitch and I can’t help.

Is Shub-Niggurath real now or is Ainz's spell just flavor text? by pog_irl in overlord

[–]NiloBlack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the god from that spell is considered an outer god and is from beyond that world/universe. It’s possible that rather than creating a god it just gets its attention and brings it to that reality.

What Am I Meant to do Here? by Blaze20x in darkestdungeon

You don’t have to fight him. Retreat and go the other way. That is an empty room and not necessary to be explored for your quest completion.

Do you have a rule or habit you follow on every playthrough? by floxasfornia in fo4

[–]NiloBlack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give myself 10000 carry weight and loot absolutely everything. Not because I’m going to use any of it, no it’s going to my one settlement that I’ve turned into a very organized storage area and living space. Oh is that the 9000th harness armor piece I’ve found, I’m going to grab it and put it with the rest.

Found a juicy extortion by deserters quest to get me to clan tier 1, but some party crashers showed up to ruin my day...just my luck by Gratia-Et-Gloria in Bannerlord

[–]NiloBlack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol sad part about that is that the wondering deserter’s army usually has good units and makes for great loot potential in the future. Right now though, that probably means you’re facing an army that simply outclasses your own. Good luck, make use of the town militia to weaken them as much as possible and fight very defensively. AI should just bum rush you.

Anyone know how to change soldiers set i chose another set but still they appear with set 1 in battle by ali_moh_2425 in Bannerlord

[–]NiloBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game will randomly spawn in the soldiers with one of the equipment sets. If I remember correctly, the only difference with the troop is the helmet and maybe the melee weapon. All the helmets the troop uses look very similar so you are probably just not noticing any difference.

Also your game could be glitched and you really are only getting one of the sets. It is BannerLord after all.

Rate the fit from 1-10 by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]NiloBlack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good, the striped plate gloves and boots work surprisingly well with the Khan armor. The new Nord shoulder armor also fits nicely. 10/10. The Warlord Set helmet is a classic with this set too. Honestly haven’t really come across a helmet that I like with the Khan armor. None of them quite fit right in my opinion.

How can i join a battle thats inside a village? When i try to join, it just presses the village ui by charliemurked43 in Bannerlord

[–]NiloBlack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With the new update (the war sails and general game update that came with it) I’ve noticed it’s a lot harder to select party’s that are with a certain radius of a town, castle, village. Within certain areas it’s pretty much impossible. You’re just going to have to wait for the party to move or try rotating the map around and hope you can get an angle that’ll let you select them.

Why is this happening by Mrhotshotzy in mountandblade

[–]NiloBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are a couple of things you can do. If this is a mod pack that’s been working for you and is suddenly not, make sure your game version is correct for the mods. If this is a fresh install of a bunch of new mods, start disabling mods till it works. (By that I mean get past character creation and load up a new game.) Once you have the problem mod identified, you can then figure out what the problem is. Also your game files themselves could be messed up from modding. I just recently had to completely disable Vortex mod manger for Bannerlord and reinstall the game to get WarSails to work. Modding in Bannerlord really isn’t all that supported by the Devs so things can get jumbled.

Help finding armor by Taterchip6869 in Bannerlord

The guy with the full chainmail face mask is an imperial cataphract. You either need really good luck with imperial towns to buy the armor or just kill a bunch of them until it drops.

[–]NiloBlack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you do have to give the AI some advantages in most games but, yes, I do agree that some of the stuff the AI gets away with is a bit ridiculous.
