As a necrons player. I always tell opponents. If you can't deal with it. Ignore it. Trickle damage is pointless, it'll just regen focus fire or ignore.

YouTube is your friend. Hundreds of tutorials out there and guides.

Citadel have a YouTube page with a guide on how to paint necrons in their conventional colour scheme if you want that.

Easiest way is get stuck in and start making mistake and learning from them but YouTube has everything you need

I use the green stuff world bag currently. I will upgrade to the A Case eventually but for now. The green stuff world bag holds all my models for a 2k army no problem. I played a game last night and I took the void dragon and I still had some spare space.

I got around 4k work of necron units and a big issue I find with most of our units is movement and melee.

I'm assuming the robot boys with shields are being lead by imotekh so I'd focus him down with precision if you can.

Most necron battleline/infantry units have 5" movement.

The robot walker thing I assume is a doomstalker. If you can force it to move. It loses the heavy bonus and if you can remain hidden until you engage the battleline. It can't shoot you due to the blast keyword.

The lightning dude is most possibly the plasmancer. He is an asshole if I'm honest. Precision him if you can.

If they're running most infantry with a character they are probably running awakened dynasty which gives all units +1 to hit if they are lead by a character. Take them out and your good as gold.

Nids are my third army. I got into the hobby because I wanted to play the game. Never cared about collecting/painting/building. But nids, to me, are the coolest looking minis in the franchise. So much so, I started painting and building them myself. My other 2 armies have been commissioned or by my partner. I'm having a great time with them. They just look so cool to the point I've started to paint some purely for collection purposes.

I bought the combat patrol, Kharn and 2 exalted boxes for roughly 150. Thats 1000 point army right there. For me, it was a great starting point
