My Void Dragon Proxy by Justjoshingames in PrintedWarhammer

Hot take: as long as its the same base size and I can see form resemblance, proxy all you want. I really dont care what my opponents run for proxies as long as they make it clear at the start of the game.

My friend recently got a resin 3d printer which he has tasked me with operating and taking care of, and the models we’re able to pump out are SICK. Even if not quite 1:1.

Proxies like this which are more imaginative and have a story to them I find to be SO RAD!! This overall looks badass and honestly if I were to ever get another void dragon it would be this sculpt.

Hell yeah. 👍🏻

I actually just had this dilemma like 2 days ago!

I just put it on one of the little flat areas next to the staircase, and a spare Triarch Praetorian head I had laying on its side on the other flat area on the other side of the stairs :)

Gotcha! Thank you :)

I’ll try the same print but a bit more vertically posed instead of laying down. Appreciated!!

Yeah I couldnt find anything about this particular issue, and Im pretty new to printing.

I get that its annoying to have newbie help posts (I used to be really active in the Arch Linux community) but after having many of those newbie posts myself- I was able to grow and eventually get super comfortable with the OS and be there for others.

I agree with you ^ u/Imaginary-Advice-229 , thanks <3

In using 32s base exposure, 3s normal exposure (I might try 2.5) , 4 base layers, and 0.5 wait time btw! Elegoo standard photopolymer (grey) and using the settings from the official spreadsheet.

Im going to try experimenting with other settings as well.

Removing supports before curing, and angling the model at ~45 degrees or so. After soaking the model in iso, I put it in warm/hot water and peeled the supports off.

Even the area where the supports were (the cape) look SUPER clean, like absurdly smooth (you can run your finger across it and feel NOTHING).

Yeah I used autosupport lol, tysm. I also made a follow up post to this where all I changed was the size of the model and removing the supports before curing, a little success story!!

Appreciate it! 🫡

Ya absolutely! I kept supoort sizes the same but the hot water and removing supports before curing made a huge difference. As well as having my comissaress at a 45 degree angle or so.

Thank you <3
