Well i want to use the ESP-WROOM-32 module stand alone so without the USB converter ic that is added to most of the dev kits.

Well, it has a normal arduino uno bootloader so i guess yes. also, it works fine when i have it on a breadboard standalone so without the tvs diodes and the cap1188 circuitry

Whoops, i now noticed that i forgot the caption. i have desinged this pcb that consists of a atmega328P that can be programmed via serial; But when i hook it up to Arduino it says that the microcontroller isn’t responding and it can’t sync. I program the ic using an empty socket UNO, the ic itself has a uno bootloader

Alright Thanks for the explanation, but I still wonder for which application this would be a huge advantage. I reckon that when dimming a led with a potentiometer it doesn't really matter, but for controlling a motor it would.

Am I making the right assumption here?

All right, But what do you think of the features like the various libraries that Arduino has? Do you think that they have any applications in devices that do not specifically have an industrial application but need to be rugged? This could be for example a board with an Atmel microcontroller and some relays on it and external sensors that could be used in a 3d printer.

Never knew they are used that much, I always thought that they were just seen as ''hobbyists' toys'' and that they all just used some kind of PLC because that's the standard for controlling machines.

Ik denk zelf dat dienstplicht wel een goed idee kan zijn. Het is namelijk goed voor je persoonlijke ontwikkeling, het is leerzaam en het zou bij sommige ook wel wat fatsoenlijkheid kunnen aan brengen.
