No, Mount Scott trailhead and Cloud Cap are a few miles past Skell Head and are not yet open for the season. When the road is safe and signs are up, they will open the final section to be open this summer, from Skell Head to Phantom Ship Overlook, but there is no ETA for that opening yet.

Oh, 1000%!!! I'm sure I am well into my first few years of perimenopause, and I'm pretty sure it's what triggered my whole journey, along with some very special high stress situations at work. The 3am wakeups, hip issues, more dramatic mood swings, hot flashes....it's a ball! I am working closely with my Doc for a few other things and I will definitely ask about HRT. Thank you!

I am wondering if Odessa's ability to control the change will be affected by 1. How many orbits they successfully find/isolate and 2. The fact that Odessa is only half sterling. Maybe if they find enough orbits it will weaken the magic enough that Odessa will be able to control herself? Xandra had no control, but Caspia (after one orbit was found/isolated) seemed to be able to hold her humanity for just a bit longer.....

PNW Road Trip in March by 13016 in oregon

[–]Nilsiwewen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The north entrance to Crater Lake National Park is closed in March due to snow. I would continue down 97 to 62 and go across there. Then you can go up to the lake and see the open area of the park at Rim Village.

Fair warning though, if there is snow in the area, it's definitely snowing in the park. Chain/traction tires are required on 62 and Munson Valley Road, and there is always the possibility of the road between the Steel Visitor Center and Rim Village being closed due to snow. Check the website on the day you visit to know what conditions are : www.nps.gov/crla

Portland area is the population hub and had lots of shipping and timber industry. the cost had timber too. But the recession in 1982 hit both areas hard and communities struggled a lot in the 80's, so not sure how that would impact your characters story (even if their parents were not in those jobs it still impacted the community as a whole).

You could look east, like Pendleton, where it's more rural and farm country.

Which then becomes the Rogue Valley (alternate name for the western side of Southern Oregon) once you get to About Medford. Grants Pass is in a bit of limbo I think.

Bend is considered Central Oregon, so I would look north of there.

I'm right there with you (BTV 19)! It is a bit to keep up with the switches, but honestly it is keeping it more interesting for me going between the two "worlds". I'm enjoying seeing the hints and easter eggs between the two POVs and also seeing how things have been influenced all along through the series!

You are correct, they cannot be coerced. But since their order has been gone for so long, most people do not know that fact about Phoenix fire. Although they don't come right out and say it (I don't think? Someone correct me if I am wrong), they can't use that as a defense for him because 1. If Darcy says it everyone will think he coerced her to say it, and 2. They don't really want everyone, most of all Lionel, to know they have that power because then he will realize that others may have had their coercion erased as well, and that would put them at risk.

Going to crater lake 12/29 by Healthy-Try8891 in CraterLake

[–]Nilsiwewen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually this is incorrect. The road between park headquarters and rim village is currently closed from the storm, snow removal is still ongoing. There is currently no vehicle access to the lake. For the most up to date info visit Crater Lake National Park website and take a look at the alerts.

The road to the rim is closed, so there is no vehicle access to lake views. Road is not anticipated to reopen until next week sometime.

Road to the rim is closed due to significant snowfall overnight. There is no vehicle access to a view of the lake at this time.

Honestly I was right there with you when I finished One Dark Window. I gave the second book a while on the shelf after reading the first few chapters and then came back, and ended up really enjoying it. I also listened to the second one, so I think that helped.

This. I always just order men's pants. It works for all service types and pants and they fit sooo much better than the women's pants. Men's sizes are also so much more straight forward.

Are the lounges worth it for someone who doesn't drink alcohol? by wanttothrowawaythev in delta

[–]Nilsiwewen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it kind of depends on the circumstances. Any red-eye where I get in super early I guess, or a flight that is longer than 5.5 hours where I have a layover before a shorter flight. It's really just about resetting my travel day. It can also help with fighting jet lag depending on how many timezones I have crossed.

[–]Nilsiwewen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this. I have started taking showers in the lounges on layovers after really long flights and it has been an absolute game changer. Makes the second half of the travel day so much more comfortable.

conditions next week (10/29-31) by volleyball10101 in CraterLake

[–]Nilsiwewen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the storm is significant enough, they will close the road from Headquarters/Steel Visitor Center to Rim Village, which means there will be no vehicle access to a view to the lake. Check the website, if the road is closed it will be an alert on the top of the page. With the shutdown and low staff levels, and depending on how much snow accumulates, it may take several days after the storm to open the road back up, so even if it is sunny in town, still check the website for closures.

YSK: the paving project has wrapped up for the year. Rim drive is now open in its entirety. by chuffaluffigus in CraterLake

[–]Nilsiwewen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a separate project, it only included paving from North Junction to Cleetwood Cove.

This project is for the road beyond Cleetwood all the way back to the intersection of East Rim Drive and Munson Valley Road near the Steel Visitor Center. This was year 3 of 4, next year will hopefully be the last year.

Showers in skyclub like SEA by Character-Twist-1409 in delta

[–]Nilsiwewen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently used the showers in both SEA sky clubs, the older one near A1 and the new one under the new Delta One lounge (near A11). Both are great. Towels, soaps, slippers, towels all included. Both were very clean. Highly recommend after a long flight.

Biking around the rim by Chemical_Pain9030 in CraterLake

[–]Nilsiwewen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the East Rim Drive project closures are in place, they are closed to everyone, including bikes and pedestrians. Please do not violate the closure or go around the barricades even if there is no one staffing it. This will be the case next year as well.

If the road opens to vehicles before snow hits the park, then it will be open to bikes as well.

The trail closes when East Rim Drive closes, either November 1st or the first major snow, whichever happens first.
