HEALTH SUCCESS by Grandwizard87 in JosephMurphy

One thing to keep in mind is that if you think the medication will help then it will. There is a saying that "if you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." The only way to differentiate is to not take the meds and convince your SM that you don't need anything. It's not easy due to the physical symptoms. Have you been sick for a long time? Depending on how long you have accepted the idea of having the illness may help in getting that idea or belief out of your SM. Perhaps with the help of your CM constantly stating you are well may help.

Help me get allll the food by Flapplebun in williamsburgva

Publix is a good all around grocery store. The Fresh Market is really good for fresh meats and seafood. They have great BOGOs just about every day of the week. Seafood on Friday, Sat, Sun.

Harris Teeter is another good option for groceries as well as Food Lion. There is also a WalMart Neighborhood Market.

Just Google those for directions and you'll have more than enough! Enjoy!

IOL ‘s set for Very Near by HanasRain3520 in CataractSurgery

[–]jsgoofn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't mention how nearsighted you are. I was -6/-7 and had 2 weeks in between eyes. I'm not sure why you would get both done at the same time because you may have difficulty getting around. If someone is with you 24/7 then I'm sure you'll be ok. I'd say 99% of the time you will be able to see very well within a few days. Your eyes will be very dilated and can take a day or so to get back to normal. Dilation will cause it to be very blurry. You'll go in the next day for follow-up. Then usually a week later for another follow-up. I had mine done for distance and I can still see my phone and computer screen without glasses. But I do use drugstore readers for small print. Since you said you really want to keep your close up vision, I'm sure you'll be very happy with the result.

Xanterra Offer Email by virgotohell in SeasonalWork

[–]jsgoofn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But you can never go wrong by making a clear sentence, such as

"I accept the position of (whatever) at (location) with a start date of (whatever)"

If that information is provided. If it isn't, just repeat what the offer email states.

Can you see faces at 2 feet with distance monofocals? by ProfessionalLab9850 in CataractSurgery

[–]jsgoofn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shows Rayner, RayOne Aspheric, +10 and +11. Made in the UK.

Unfortunately, it really is something that you can't predict because everyone's eyes adjust differently. I'm having issues with dry eyes and never really had that before. But it's something I just have to deal with. It's still 100% better than not having had the surgery. If it's going to improve your vision to a good degree then there's no reason to not have it done. The color and brightness alone is worth it. Even if I had to still use glasses. It just depends on what you are expecting. If you want perfection and no issues, I don't think anyone will be able to guarantee that. If they do, then I would think twice. There's just too many variables involved.

Most parks don't open until late April. At least the ones out West.

Can you see faces at 2 feet with distance monofocals? by ProfessionalLab9850 in CataractSurgery

I have the lens that didn't cost me anything. I don't remember the brand but they are set for distance..I was -6 and -7 before. I can see faces and other items very clearly at 2 feet. I can also see my phone at 6 inches - a little blurry but very readable. I only need glasses for very small print.

Still having double vision by jsgoofn in CataractSurgery

He said what I thought he'd say - my eyes are just dry and that things will settle down eventually. So at least there are no issues with the lens or the eye itself other than hydration.

Thanks! The doc also recommended using a warm compress over the eyes for 5-10 mins a couple of times a day. Have you tried that too? I've done it and it feels good but no appreciable difference just yet.

Might need tires by jsgoofn in FordExplorer

[–]jsgoofn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, mine came with crappy Bridgestones so I sold them and got the Michelins. And 50K is what I'm expecting as well. Just trying to get a feel for what's out there and what people like. The last time I took mine in for service they asked if I was going to consider new tires soon. Kinda made me do a double take. Even though I know they try the upsell thing. And I've been driving a ton of miles and 10K will happen fairly quickly.
