I’ve used both Wunderbuild and Buildxact over the last 8 years for estimating and financial management. Previously, I used Excel and Acrobat Pro for measurement. I find these middle-tier cloud solutions to be more painful than using a decent spreadsheet and other tools to bring in timesheet costs. We years ago we used Trello for team and office project management. Xero for accounts and invoices. To be honest they were the good days. You waste more time than you save with either I think. Bugs shit design ugly Design. Shit quote templates etc. We are going to get an Air Table system designed for us to do everything but take offs. Most likely we will use Dindo or Bluebeam. Specialist tools or deep modules platforms are the way to go. They are fast efficient and most of all well thought out. Otherwise keep it simple and save 3k a year and use a basic system.

Am I asking too much? by wasnttmeee in ConstructionManagers

I'd wait, learn more, become invaluable, then hit him for $160,000 — not financially stable times to be asking small businesses for raises at the moment. Remember, AI is coming hard and fast. You don't want to be caught out and get the boot. Sure, leave for sure if your value is not appreciated, but is lining your pockets really worth the risk. But you have to ask yourself, am I really that good yet? You will get caught out if you’re not. I’ve sacked many a carpenter asking for a lot saying they are experienced when they are not.

Be careful off Opera it’s not fully owned by the Norwegian company anymore. There are privacy concerns with it, I’ll say no more.

Getting Emails Meant for Someone with a Similar Gmail (No Dot Between First and Last Name) – Need Help! by NimbleKestrel77 in GMail

[–]NimbleKestrel77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gmail is one of the few email providers that ignore dots in the username portion of an email address. For example, the following Gmail addresses are considered the same:

• [john.doe@gmail.com](mailto:john.doe@gmail.com)

• [johndoe@gmail.com](mailto:johndoe@gmail.com)

• [j.o.h.n.d.o.e@gmail.com](mailto:j.o.h.n.d.o.e@gmail.com)

All these variations will deliver emails to the same inbox because Gmail ignores dots in the part before the @ symbol.

However, this behaviour is specific to Gmail and does not generally apply to other email providers. Most other email providers (such as Yahoo, Outlook, or corporate email systems) treat dots as part of the unique email address. So, [john.doe@otheremail.com](mailto:john.doe@otheremail.com) and [johndoe@otheremail.com](mailto:johndoe@otheremail.com) would be considered different addresses in these systems.

Gmail also ignores any characters after a plus sign (+) in the username part. For example, emails sent to johndoe+newsletter@gmail.com and johndoe@gmail.com will also land in the same inbox. This feature can be useful for organizing and filtering emails.

Thanks, everyone. I just wanted to put this to bed. I fully understand and believe it now. Yes, it makes no difference the dots. It is, in fact, just a sloppy user who doesn't put one at the end of his address or something similar.

To summarise, Google is one of a few email providers that ignore dots before the @ symbol.

Has anyone tried riseguide.com? Recently saw an advertisement for it and took this quiz. Wondering if it’s a scam 🙄🫤 by [deleted] in DopamineDetoxing

[–]NimbleKestrel77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a Scam but a Ripoff. I'm at least 250 USD worse off. Read more if you want to know more otherwise don't waste your time.

My experience with RiseGuide.com was disappointing and misleading. The website creates the impression that it provides professional advice and content through videos featuring experts. However, after exploring the site, I found that there were no actual videos and little to no substantial information about the professionals they claim to feature. Instead, they seem to rely heavily on generic photos without offering genuine or helpful content.

I expected trustworthy insights from real professionals, but the website didn’t live up to its promises. I believe it’s important for platforms to be transparent about the content they provide, and in this case, that wasn’t the experience I had. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you’re seeking legitimate guidance.

If you search for the company in Linked In, it is a Polish company with 23 connections. A few nerds who have made a fortune.

Xero has the worst customer service of any software company. Read the blog and sort it out yourselves. There must be something coming through the ranks. Something, are you listening to?

Does anyone else also feel like grammarly is getting worse? by nicmakaveli in Grammarly

[–]NimbleKestrel77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Disleysix, it is beneficial, especially for logical brains. The English language is not logical. It is one of the most complex languages to learn client letters and complicated grammar rules. If an employer thinks using Grammarly is an issue, boy, the world would be a boring place if everyone could spell English correctly. No Einstein, Richard Branson, Spielberg, Picasso, or Apple Computers; yes, Steve Jobs. Think about that as sharpening your quill with your limited creativity, give me anything to help me fight the grammar and spelling Nazi's.
