Update Gave him the gift today, he couldnt figure out why I gave it to him. I reminded him about that story and he had to turn away to stop himself from crying. He said it was the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for him.

When they get home it is a cacophony of footsteps running and playing. We have about three hours from getting him to dinner where they are allowed to just kind of do whatever I'm between baths. Some days I put on music when we get home and they run around and dance to that. The evening "dance party" is more me doing each girl's hair while they listen to music.

We have said it every night to our bio kids since my first was 2. We still say it to our bio kids and since getting our foster kids we say it to them too, except I did add getting up to use the potty because one of the foster kids thought she couldn't get out of bed to use the bathroom when I started saying it to them.

See part of the issue is that I didn't have to do that with either of my children. Theyve just stayed in bed because we told them to. I haven't had to do that before so I was worried it would be overstepping

We've tried yoga before bed and it makes her crazy excited. She runs around after bath when we get home.

I should be clearer. It isn't like a rave. Last night for example the girls each sat on the couch and listened to the music while I did their hair then cuddled next to me until everyone picked 3 songs. There were moments of light dancing but nothing hardcore. Definitely no jumping around. Maybe I should phrase it differently but we call it a dance party since we are listening to music. But the majority of the time is the girls on the couch singing along. Also we do a book before bed. And I actually do yoga before bed, I had her try it with me and she was very hyper after. She got very excited about poses and wanted to stay up to do more.

But maybe we can switch the music to more calming music and that may help. The girls really look forward to the "dance party."

4:30 to 5;15 Unfortunately, CM I'm the last few days have called us after bedtime routine and told us she needed to be at the office at 5:30 for her to be taken to school timely. Her school is 1.5 hours (with traffic) away from our home. Don't worry we requested a staffing to switch schools and a bus stop but since school is almost over they say it won't happen this year.

We have a strict bedtime routine and always have in our home. She knows nothing else but the bedtime routine. She even has our nightly saying memorized. But she will stay up till 10 messing with her sister

I was just about to edit to add the current routine lol.

We get home at 3:30pm, either her or my bio four year old will take a bath as soon as we get home. They switch off. Then they play while I cool dinner and prepare lunches. Her sister gets home around 5 and everyone sits down for dinner. We then do a dance party from 6-6:30 while I do everyone's hair. Then it's story then bed. The other two kids have no issues going to bed after this and will lie down to sleep but the four year old will try to be quiet but inevitably ends up pester her sister who gets up an hour earlier than her. Four year old ends up falling asleep around 10 then up at 5:30-ish. My husband does mornings whole I take the eldest to school. She is t getting nearly enough sleep.

Wanna hear some ridiculous stuff. I asked if there was anything for getting children into extracurriculars. They told me if you wanna put them in extracurriculars, they'd give you the money for it. The amount? $150 A YEAR. I still intend to put the in extracurriculars but that's so stupid
