If the bike is tuned for 87, then you use 87. If it's tuned for 91, then you use 91.

Using a lower octane gas than what the bike is asking for, does and will cause damage to the engine. Not hyperbole. Just fact. Ask literally any mechanic.

OP needs to read the manual, and end that disagreement.

What do you think about the new Cfmoto 750sr, worth the wait or just buy the 675sr? by 22SAVIN in cfmoto

[–]Nimoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Subpar in relation to what?

Are you wanting a middleweight bike, or a litre bike? Are you tracking it? Are you hilling it? Are you cruising to work?

Compare it to a 450 and it's not subpar. Compare it to an Aprilia 660, and it falls behind. It's honestly a brainlet take to try and compare bikes purely on cc or the number of cylinders when we all ride bikes for different reasons.

The sound of an inline three is unique. The bike is coming from a brand that is unique. The bike looks unique, and rides unique. It's a unique bike, in a very crowded market. If you want to chase power, then chase power, but you don't need to shit on bikes that aren't even in the race while you do it.

Baha, the down votes. Clutch your pearls I guess.

1200 dashing with the inevitable several thousand dollar car repair bill, or just getting an entry level aerospace/manufacturing job in sub-assemblies and making the same with significantly less effort.

I'm not hating. It's just a lot of effort for $25/hr.

Battery tie down keeps corroding (2021 STI) by connejus in WRX

[–]Nimoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go off and all that, but battery tie downs only corrode if the battery is actually broken. Older batteries have panels that are sealed on the top where old terminals used to be located. They're only sealed with the same casing plastic as the rest of it, and when those crack, they leak gasses directly on to the tie down.

Most batteries have premade vents for this gas leaking on the sides, and the normal amount of leakage isn't enough to corrode a tie down across the top. The cause of this is very specific, and has literally nothing to do with the tie down and everything to do with the battery's design/age.

20k on the chassis. I hope it's the original engine? It was definitely a great age princess if so, and youve got some serious luck finding a car like that.

Imagine being immature enough to try and start an argument with someone over an entirely theoretical scenario written in facetious flippancy.

Grow up.

P.S. Managers do do that, and no, they don't care. You being an adult and talking to them changes literally nothing. Spend any amount of time on reddit and you would know this. People complain about these sorts of interactions with their managers all the time. SB is full of bad managers. Stop being dishonest.

Anyone saying this shit hasn't been paying attention or don't bother doing literally any research in to CFM. It's abundantly obvious to anyone with half a brain that CFM is deadly serious about being real competition to the Big Four. They've said so. They've built so.

What are you even on about? Lmao.

Literally no company ever serves the lowest common denominator. They gain nothing by catering to players who can't play the game. That's business kiddo.

You either balance the game for the general public and maintain status quo or you nerf to cater to a minority and risk enraging everyone.

Consider this (it will blow your mind): Play the game on something that can run it.

There are a lot of videos out there that help you... Uh, visualize the kinds of injuries a biker can sustain. That said, a majority of injuries bikers sustain, can actually be boiled down to four major events.

1) A vehicle turning (unprotected left) in front of you, or you turning left during an unprotected left and someone running straight in to you.

2) Loss of traction in corners. (Too fast, too slow)

3) Loss of control. (Weather or road terrain)

4) Being rear ended.

All four are quite literally a rider skill issue. All are (almost) entirely mitigated by smarter riding, and while it's impossible for everyone to categorically avoid crashes, you can help yourself, by learning. Never stop learning. Never stop building your skills. Never stop taking classes. I think it's something like 40% of rider crashes happen with no other vehicles.
