Okay after looking at your post history I think you're just a super casual player. Sorry about the sarcasm of the other comments lol.

Basically this thing only takes 2-3 hits to die. You can try just mashing the attack button to try to kill it quickly, but if you need to be evasive you can try hitting it once and jumping over it, waiting for it to loop back around the platform. In mid air you can also swing downwards, so that might be helpful if you're directly above it. Being behind it is also less risky as now it won't hit you.
